Hi,
Yes, that is what I ordered this morning. I have seen smt transistors that looked smaller but i do not plan to try to cover them. The socket will handle sot-23-6 as well. I will look into adding a program card that will extend the number of devices tested. A 6p6t switch would be nice but are way too big.

Are you going to use something like this?
Are there SOT-23 devices that won't fit?

Re: OT: Resolving "undershoot" on 74LS logic
Hmmmm Stranger and stranger,
The outputs of the LS02 which go any distance on the board appear clean (including the main clock signals which actually go off the processor board via ribbon cable to the logic baord), but pin 10 has this undershoot and only connects to pin 11, and pin 1 which also does the same only seems to connect to the test point.
Maybe this chip isn't the culprit for the .66uS bursts of RF on all the supplies, it may just be that the 1.5MHz clock goes everywhere and therefore sprays itself into all the supplies.

Re: OT: Resolving "undershoot" on 74LS logic
Thanks to all (not just Jerry). I am pretty sure it isn't the ground lead as the input (from the 68B09 E pin) which is pretty much as fast is quite clean, but will try a 500R probe later today.
The ground is good to the ground pin, but there isn't a good ground near the supply pin :(
It looks like 74ALS includes a schottky output clamp, and I therefore assume 74HC(T) logic does too?
If a diode clamp doesn't do it I will try the series R ...
Anyone know of a convenient PI I can steal a leaded schottky diode from - 7A18, 7A19, 7B92, and 7S11 parts mules are available.
Cheers Dave

I

It is actually very easy to work on. It feels much like diethyl ether

Very easy to fill those bottles -- attach a stock refrigerant hose to
the

Re: 7A18 volts/div switch contact cleaning
Doh! I found that putting a vertical plug-in into the left most slot so I could reach the adjustments on the right side was not effective but maybe you can manage it. I cut one of my tuning tools in half and shortened it so I could reach the TCXO frequency adjustment inside my HP 5315A because a longer tool would not fit at all. Thanks to everyone who responded - I was able to clean the 2 contacts for the 10X attenuation and the deflection now works fine. I put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the contacts with a small dropper and moved the knob back and forth 15 or 20 times. Never actually touched the contacts with anything per notes below.
So now that the gain is right, I have to adjust the compensation caps for which I need an extender. The one on eBay is far out of my reach financially. How do you guys set the comp caps without an extender card or extension cable?
Again, thanks for your assistance with the deflection contact points.

Re: 7A18 volts/div switch contact cleaning
I have a R7704 rack mounted unit - the CRT is on the left. But your note gave me an idea - perhaps I can put the 7A18 in the right vertical slot, leave the left empty and see if I can get a small screw driver to fit in the empty slot. Will try that tomorrow.
Priya.
