Interesting. The same seller sent me the two files you mention, and I tried both - also removing the chip from the board as you did. It didn't seem that either one fixed the problem - not even the CARTV128.BIN but perhaps there is a difference in the files we each have? If you could email me the binary you have, I'd be very grateful.
