Re: Tartan 27 Centerboard Issues, Part II.
Warren,
I think that is a capitol idea: building a replacement centerboard out of G-10.??
The outlay for a 2' x 4' section of .5" G-10 would be fairly substantial but ought to be enough material to

Re: Tartan 27 Centerboard Issues, Part II.
Maybe a silly question, but has anybody considered fabricating a new centerboard out of solid G10? ? Yes, I¡¯d still epoxy it, and yes, it would be initially expensive; but no, it would never

Re: Tartan 27 Centerboard Issues, Part II.
I have often wondered about companies that fab rudders. (Seen a few in the mags) they might be able to make a board for a whole lot less.

Anything can be fixed. "Fixed" sometimes means having a new whatever
fabricated. As I'm sure you've read, check the corner of the board
where it pivots and check the pivot pin.

Re: Tartan 27 Centerboard Issues, Part II.
I tried a repair on #226 and decided to buy a new board. 8 years ago it was about $400, I have heard they are much more now. Many sail without the board just fine.
