Progress Report - Two laps
The van has now moved on it's own (Subaru) power. The first time it
has moved since August. The neighbors actually came out and cheered.
I wonder if they are happy for me or if they are happy

Oil pan installed.
Hi Susan, Hobert, David, Jim and the rest of the gang,
I finally got around to installing the KEP oil pan last Saturday. It
mounted up just fine. I was able to install all the bolts, starting

Re: Getting wired
Hi, Warren;
You posted this back in the middle of November...that you would make
the diagram of numbers and pins for the gray plugs available for
those with '92 engines.
I am trying to match up

Group,
Since the cat is now out of the bag so-to-speak, one of the protoypes
is on my '86 syncro. I have not seen it but the first reports have

Re: targarue?
I am in leucadia and have done the conversion. Thought about 911 and did
the sub. The only thing I would rather have is a boxsterS motor.
Good luck

They rubbed on the front wheel opening at the bottom rear, where the small plastic wheel flares are. Just barely, and not noticable until you put the vans front suspension under compression with

Hobert does not have a wife. We are working on cutting down the labor time
of the oil pan. We have about 10 here already that we are committed to do.

Re: Gas Tank Hoses
As has been pointed out, VW didn't put that stuff in there just because they had a slow day on their hands...the system has three purposes: to allow expansion space for the fuel, to pass fuel vapors

Big gray plugs
According to Ron's diagram of the big gray plug (16 spaces with 12
wires) the engine side has two yellow wires to the injectors, are
these wires interchangeable? All the injectors have a yellow wire

Re: Gas Tank Hoses
Mark,
Ed is right. It behooves you to get all the hoses in the right place.
Besides gas leaking out you can end up with water leaking in, big
pain in the neck too.
I found that you can get to

Re: Now.! .....Bigger tires for my Syncro!
Brian,
You may be right. I gave them a quick measure. Miss the ride, and like
I said they were great in snow.
The worst part though was just how hard it was to get into the van.
By the way, I ordered

Steve,
Like, Derek, I would like to know where (and when) they rubbed. We
are both (I think) considering the purchase of a set of 15" SA wheels
with 30mm offset.
I'm assuming your SA wheels have

Re: Failed emissions inspection!
The reason we tested so many catalytic converters while putting together our
kits is the fact that the original Subaru engine has two catalytic
converters. The NOx has always been a problem. Our

Re: Gas Tank Hoses
Mess with the engineered design and you will end up with more trouble
than you need right now.
Be sure the grommets going into the tank are in good shape or you may
end up with large gas puddles

Steve,
Two charts I have say the 235/75/15's are about 29" tall. That would
be consistant then with a maximum allowable of 28-28 1/2" or so.
