Free and lets you crop and resize a photo to a more reasonable size like 480x640 etc.? It can also compress to 80% so a 8MB photo can be turned into a 100K photo that for all intensive purposes looks the same unless you want to zoom way in.

I had a good look at my 10k today, mounted on it’s own bench w/drawers and pulleys. ?When lowered, my cover pushes down on a shaft to allow the belt tensioner arm to lock. Not sure if the 10k was sold without a bench. ?I’m thinking a home shop machinist could build a cover fairly easily.?

Sorry Paul. I have a master power switch to the lath and it’s light. The sheet is moved before power is turned on. Plus it is a flat belt that slips if to heavy of a load is applied. Plenty safe enough for me.?

My metric QCGB has obvious metric threading numbers on it…. not like the imperial one in threads per inch. ?Plus the leadscrew pitch is 3mm.

Any ideas where to locate a headstock cover for an 80s vintage 10K other than eBay would be great. That seems to be the only missing part on this new purchase of mine.
