Meet Freyja – A Timid Spirit Seeking a Safe Haven, Toronto
Meet Freyja – A Timid Spirit Seeking a Safe Haven, Toronto Freyja is a breathtakingly beautiful 8-year-old F2 Savannah cat with striking features and a spirit that longs for security and understanding. She has had a challenging journey and is still learning what it means to feel safe and secure in a home. Freyja needs a guardian who understands that earning her trust will take patience, space, and a willingness to meet her on her terms. What Makes Freyja Unique: ? Timid and Cautious: Freyja is highly wary of human interaction and will need a calm, quiet environment with minimal pressure. She’s not aggressive by nature but will react if she feels cornered or threatened. ? High Energy and Playful: At night, when the world is quiet, she comes to life—chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, and demonstrating her athletic prowess. She needs plenty of space to run and stretch her legs. ? Loves Routine: Stability and consistency are crucial for her. She thrives when she knows what to expect and when she has a secure area that is distinctly hers. ? Safe Space Required: Freyja will need a confined space to call her own when she first arrives—a room where she can feel safe and adjust to her new environment without being overwhelmed. Only once she feels secure should she be given more freedom to explore the rest of the house. ? Quirky Preferences: She has a fondness for industrial canned food (like Friskies) and white raw fish, especially cod. She also enjoys having space to roam at night and prefers odorless, dust-free scoopable clay litter. Important Considerations: ? No Other Cats: Freyja has shown significant stress when living with other cats and will mark areas where other cats have been. She also becomes stressed if outdoor cats approach windows. A cat-free environment is essential. ? Possibly OK with Calm Dogs: Freyja may be able to live with a calm, well-mannered dog, but any interaction should be managed carefully and introduced slowly. ? Older Children Only: Freyja may be suitable for homes with older children who respect her space and understand that she is not a pet to be dressed up or handled frequently. She needs to be admired from a distance until she is comfortable. The Ideal Home for Freyja: ? Quiet and Spacious: A home with ample room for her to explore and claim as her own. ? Dedicated Safe Space: A separate room for her to decompress and feel secure during the transition period. ? Experienced Guardian: Someone familiar with unsocialized cats or early generation Savannahs, who understands that progress may be slow. ? Patience and Compassion: Freyja’s journey to feeling safe will be measured in months, not weeks. Her new guardian must be willing to take it slow and respect her boundaries. Freyja’s Story: Freyja’s journey has been challenging, not because she is difficult by nature, but because she has needs that require a very specific environment and approach. After spending her early years as a breeding cat, she struggled to adapt to new homes where the best of intentions met the reality of her complex spirit. Her adopters did everything they could to help her, but her fear and anxiety presented challenges that exceeded what they were prepared to navigate. Despite these challenges, she shows moments of pure joy, especially during nighttime play sessions when she can let her guard down and enjoy herself. With the right environment and the right person, Freyja has the potential to find peace and happiness. Adoption Details: ? Location: Freyja is currently in Toronto, Canada. She cannot cross the border. ? Adoption Fee: $200 CAD ? Contact: For inquiries or to apply, please email Teresa/John at info@... and include “Freyja” in the subject line. Freyja is not an easy cat, but she is not impossible either. She needs someone who can see the potential in her quieter moments of curiosity and play and who will let her find peace at her own pace. With the right person and the right space, she can have a chance to thrive.

Female F2 in San Antonio Texas
In need of a foster for this sweet girl!!! We are in need of a foster or foster/adopt in The San Antonio Texas area. Willow is a breeding cat from the now defunct Hearts of Texas Cattery. The owner is no longer breeding and can't care for her any longer. Willow needs to be spayed and have a health check. The owner said she is a wonderful cat. Willow is playful, loving and affectionate. She has peacefully coexisted with both cats and dogs. She has been around children aged 6 and up. We are not aware of her litterbox habits. She spent a good amount of her time in an outdoor enclosure. She is not spayed so may spray. We are looking for a local foster (driving distance) that can have Willow vetted and let her hormones adjust. Willow would need her own room for a minimum of a month (time before and after spay). After her medical, she could be introduced to the home. Her ideal home would be one or two animals. She is good with both cats and dogs. Texas has very strict laws regarding ownership of Savannah cats. You can check your county on http://www.hybridlaw.com.

ADOPTED - F5 SBT SAVANNAH MALE - 5 YO - LEHIGH ACRES, FLORIDA
Please meet Zeus, a 5 yo f5 SBT savannah male who is, currently, looking for his furever home. At this time, he is with an individual rescue/foster mom, who is taking real good care of him. He has been vetted, is up to date on his vaccinations, and is FRESHLY neutered (please note, some time will be needed for the hormones to leave his system). She recently reached out to our team for help in finding Zeus a home as he had been living outside, homeless, for some time. There is more to his story. But, in short, he has had 2 homes (that we know of) and when the previous owner listed on his microchip was contacted, they did not want him. Zeus is described by his foster mom as being friendly to family and visitors, is talkative and playful, and is a lap cat. He plays gently and does not usually use his teeth or claws. In his current living situation, he has had access to most rooms and spaces in the house and spends most of his time wanting to be where people are. He has lived with, both, cats and dogs and peacefully co-exists with them. He is comfortable with all people (although we are unsure if he has regularly been around children) and is a total love. Per his foster mom, ‘He always comes when he hears me, is a real love buddy, and is cuddly’. Zeus is litter box trained as well. The ideal home for Zeus would be one that can provide him with a stable and loving home life. He will need a bit of time to acclimate and settle in during his transition but would do well in a home with enough space for him to roam and, ideally, one that has an outdoor enclosed area, such as a catio. In general, we are looking for a home where Zeus will feel safe, secure, and much loved. So, if you feel you are committed to providing Zeus with this type of lifestyle, please email us at info@... with a description of your home and household, where you are located, and why you would make a good fit for him. Homes in Florida, or within a reasonable travel distance of where Zeus is, will be given consideration. Adoption Fee - $200.

F2 Savannah Girl available in Montreal Canada
+++update+++ Frejya has found herself a new home in Toronto area ! thank you to everyone that inquired and congrats to her new family. Available in Montreal ! Lovely f2 savannah girl is available in Canada. Sorry she cannot cross the border. Freyja is 8 years old and was previously adopted from sv rescue but she is not working out in her new home so we are seeking another home that would be more suitable. The current owner has given her a good chance to integrate with his current cats but it is just not working out. Freyja needs a home with NO OTHER CATS and if there are cats that roam in your yard, approaching the windows, this would not be suitable either. She is very afraid. Not sure what has caused this ? but it is what it is ! She has been marking where the other cats have been and generally is afraid of everything. Although the owner has worked with her for 8 months there has only been minimal improvement. She has not warmed up to him significantly, or become trusting of the home. She would likely be fine with a calm well mannered dog, and with older children. She will hiss when scared but this is not unusual for an F2 cat. The owner says she is not aggressive so would be fine with children that respect her wishes and if they are not expecting a pet they can dress up and pack around the house. That is not Freyja ! she would just prefer to be beautiful and adored. She enjoys playing with, or without, human interaction. Her adoption fee is $200 Canadian and she will need to be picked up at her home. if you are interested or have further questions about her please email Teresa at info@... and put her name into the subject line.

ADOPTED - F1 NEUTERED MALE SAVANANNAH - 14 YO - HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Bongo is an extremely handsome 14 yo f1 Savannah male who is looking for a new furever home. The breeder (Drinkwater Cats) has been contacted and will not be taking Bongo back. His owner will be moving at the end of March and is looking to rehome him, prior, as she can no longer handle the physical aspects that go along with owning such an active cat. Bongo has lived with his owner since he was a kitten. She says that ‘overall BONGO IS THE COOLEST’. But, it is important to note, that he is an F1 and that they can be a lot of cat and a huge responsibility to take care of. F1s are not for everyone. Bongo is definitely not a cuddler or lap cat, nor does he like to be carried. But he likes to rub up on you on his own time. He would never try to scratch, lunge, or bite anyone. He has always loved to be in the same room as his owner and is always rubbing up against her legs and also other people that come over. His owner reports that she feels as if he may be more comfortable around women but that he did take a liking to her nephew who lived with her for 5 years. Bongo is also a bit of an escape artist. So his new family would need to be very careful when opening any doors that lead out of the house (as he has slipped by his owner in the past where she has had to go after him) and would need to make sure that if an outdoor enclosure were to be provided for him, it would need to be escape proof. Overall, Bongo is described by his owner as being very friendly to family and visitors, very active and playful, talkative, more like a dog, and fearless. He plays gently (does not usually use teeth or claws), likes to chase and pounce with a variety of toys, enjoys to play in or around water, and loves to play and gets along well with other cats. He has been around dogs everyday since he has lived with his owner and has done good around encounters with child visitors. His current lifestyle and routine at home, is indoors in the evening, free roam of the house, and time in his outdoor enclosure everyday. He uses his scratching post, has good litter box habits, but has reported to occasionally urinate/spray when upset or overly stimulated. This is typical of an F1. He is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and is in good health. Being that Bongo is an F1, it will most likely take time for him to acclimate into a new home. We are looking for a home who is willing to be patient, committed, and to work with Bongo as he settles in on his own time. The home must be IN CALIFORNIA ONLY. So if you are a resident, can give Bongo a loving home, and are able to drive to pick him up, please email us at info@... with a description of your home and household and why you would make a good fit for Bongo. Convince us that you understand the challenges with owning and winning over an F1. He will need a room of his own to decompress and acclimate. Please include whether you can meet that need as well. Adoption Fee - $200. Note that the owner requires that Bongo’s cat wheel goes with him to his new home.

PENDING/FOSTERED - FOSTER/FOSTER-TO-ADOPT - GIGI - F2 - ORMOND BEACH, F
PENDING/FOSTERED - GIGI WILL GO TO HER FOSTER HOME TOMORROW - FOSTER/FOSTER-TO-ADOPT - GIGI - F2 - ORMOND BEACH, FL Gigi is a 5 year old F2 retired breeding cat. She has been in this home only a few months and has not been spayed yet, hence we can only consider foster homes for Gigi until she has been spayed. The owners are in the military and moving SOON and the breeder is apparently out of business so Gigi needs our help! In the months she has been in this home, Gigi was great with small children and dogs, but is said to hiss at new cats. They assume this means she cannot live with other cats, we tend to feel that after spaying and some time to settle and a proper patient introduction it is very possible that Gigi will learn to cohabit with other cats. Gigi is described as the sweetest girl who loves to cuddle and follows you around, but is very playful if you get out a wand toy. She is outgoing with family and visitors, in short the perfect Savannah. If you are within driving distance of Ormond Beach, FL and have a room that you can give to Gigi for the weeks required for her spay and recovery, please contact us at info@... and tell us about your home including if you wish to only foster or aim to integrate her into your home.

RIP- BANDIT-F5- MOUNT PENN, PA
RIP- BANDIT-F5- MOUNT PENN, PA Our team is devastated, Bandit's condition suddenly deteriorated and we had to make a terribly difficult decision to spare him further suffering. ------------------------------------------- Poor Bandit needs a loving patient home, preferably soon! Bandit is a 12 year old F5 who we recently posted needing an emergency foster because his elderly owners were unable to take him with them on their move. We found a foster home but drama ensued when that foster contacted his previous vet and found out he had a aggression/bite label on his file. Apparently they have never experienced a cat that is normally fine but freaks out at the vet. The former owner fully explained the situation but the foster refused to believe the owner and demanded we remove this "dangerous" cat asap. Poor Bandit had spent those days hunched over barely eating and refusing to play with the foster, never showing any actual signs that could be interpreted as aggression. Poor misunderstood Bandit. More discussion with his previous owner and Bandit is a sensitive soul, he doesn't do well with change. He takes gabapentin for travel and the vet (like numerous cats of all breeds do nowadays). He takes time to warm up to new people. He's said to be smart and nosy, loves to play with zip ties and chase bugs. He was said to be talkative but I think that will take Bandit feeling more relaxed than he is right now. Interestingly, he was fully toilet-trained although he does use a litterbox when offered one. Over the years, Bandit has lived with various family members (kids, grandkids, siblings, niece) and dogs and even a pet pig. Hence we feel he could work in many households with the patience to give him time to adapt. He has not lived with other cats, with his stated nervousness and timid nature he probably should only be an option if the other cat is docile and easygoing, not confident and dominant. Bandit's world has come crashing down. In our need to find a fast solution to the nightmare foster home, he has had to be housed in a large cage at a wonderful rescue group in Mount Penn, PA. Bless them for opening up the space to get him safely housed. We hate to have to change Bandit's living situation yet again, but his current place is a temporary measure. We would love to find either a foster that can give him the time to decompress and settle, a foster-to-adopt home or even an adoptive home that will give him the time he needs. Please email us at info@... if you have the right home for Bandit, and are able to travel to Mount Penn, PA. Obviously with all the stress in this cat's life we are not going to put him in cargo to ship him anywhere!

ADOPTED: Meet Maleficent: Spirited, Loving, and Ready for Her Perfect Match - LOS ANGELES, CA
ADOPTED: MALEFICENT WILL BE GOING TO HER NEW HOME THIS WEEKEND! Meet Maleficent: Spirited, Loving, and Ready for Her Perfect Match - LOS ANGELES, CA Maleficent is a striking 2-year-old F2 Savannah cat with a personality as bold as her spots. Found in a feral cat colony on the streets of Los Angeles, she’s been on quite the journey—including multiple shelter stays—before finding her way to us when her owner failed to come for her the fourth time. Now, with her boundless energy and heart full of love, Maleficent is ready to find a forever home that truly understands her unique needs. Why Maleficent Will Steal Your Heart ? Affectionate & Playful: She loves being with her people and will happily demand attention when she wants it. ? Energetic & Athletic: From zipping around on her One Fast Cat wheel to playing with mylar crinkle balls, she’s always up for a good time. ? Great Habits: ? Excellent litter box manners (using a Litter Robot 3). ? Drinks from a fountain—hydration is key! ? Leaves your toilet paper alone (a Savannah miracle). ? Social Butterfly: Confident around new people, she’s always ready to explore and never hides. Maleficent’s Unique Quirks Maleficent is deeply affectionate but can become overstimulated. Before starting Prozac, her intensity could feel overwhelming, even a little scary, to her foster. She wasn’t being aggressive out of malice—she simply loved too much, too hard, and didn’t know how to express it in healthy ways. Since starting Prozac, she’s found her balance, channeling that passion into playful, loving behavior that’s much easier to manage. This backstory is important because Maleficent’s adopter needs to be someone who understands and respects her boundaries. While she’s doing wonderfully now, her big personality requires someone with patience, confidence, and experience with energetic cats. The Perfect Home for Maleficent Maleficent thrives in an environment that matches her boldness and charm: ? No Small Cats, Please: While she might tolerate a larger, confident early-generation male Savannah, has shown she can be, shall we say, overly enthusiastic with smaller companions. ? Dog-Friendly: A medium-to-large-sized dog would be an ideal playmate. ? Calm Household: No small children, as her intensity may be too much for them. A Forever Home for Maleficent Maleficent is the kind of cat who will keep life exciting—whether she’s scaling new heights in search of adventure or curling up in the sun to recharge. She’s a one-of-a-kind companion, full of love and personality, and she’s ready to meet her match. By adopting Maleficent, you’re not just getting a cat—you’re gaining a true partner who will enrich your life with laughter, love, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Contact us today to meet Maleficent and see if she’s the queen you’ve been searching for! Her adoption fee will be $200 and you should email us at info@... with your location and describing how your home is perfect for this amazing girl. (P.S. She won’t destroy your toilet paper or leave faucets dripping—she’s far too sophisticated for that.)

ADOPTED - F1 - KHALIA - GREENSBORO, NC
ADOPTED - F1 - KHALIA - GREENSBORO, NC KAHLIA IS IN HER NEW HOME!!! Khalia came to us via APC of Durham who were unable to deal with her (not least because F1s are not legal in that city), she had been dumped with a deputy when the shelter had refused to take her. Khalia has a complicated history and this likely has contributed to her behavior showing lack of trust in humans. Khalia was born in the UK and imported as an older kitten to a breeder in the US. When she didn't work out as a breeding cat she was resold this past March to a pet buyer newly spayed (and shipped cross country). After six months of failing to touch Khalia he gave up. All of this change and traumatic journeys has obviously left Khalia unimpressed with humans. We don't know how well-socialized she was as a kitten, but she does not wish to be touched or handled now. However, she has been quite at home in her foster's bedroom, although she has chewed holes in a bedspread probably out of boredom. Khalia was a scary hissy monster at the shelter, typically that kind of environment can upset sensitive cats like Savannahs and Khalia is every bit an F1 at that. Still, because the foster is experienced with Savannahs, she actually went fairly easily into a large dog crate. This indicates that handled calmly and expertly she is not unmanageable, but also a warning that a new owner needs to be calm and capable with difficult cats. Khalia LOVES to play with wand toys, but is very hard on them. The Da Bird lasted seconds. She will need sturdier options like a short horse lunge whip or dog chase toy. Khalia has done well on a kibble diet. She has good litterbox habits also. It's really important to understand the challenge that is Khalia. She does NOT wish to be touched and if cornered will lash out. She likely will need to be sedated with gabapentin to be crated and taken to a vet. Khalia is a large F1 and the foster estimates at least 20lbs. F1s don't take change well, and Khalia has had more change and upset than most. A home needs to understand the different challenge of an F1 versus other generations of Savannah. They also need to understand and accept that it may take months or even years for Khalia to come around. Patience and understanding can work wonders but we would prefer a home with the kindness and understanding that might accept that Khalia might never allow petting or handling. We don't know how she would be with other cats or dogs. She has been hissy at the cats at the foster's home but not aggressive. She would likely accept non-confrontational cats with a super-patient lengthy introduction. Because she cannot be touched, you would need to manage that slowly and thoughtfully. Khalia is gorgeous but a long-term project. She would need her own space for a long time. We do not think she should be in a home with young children (younger than 10 year olds). I'm sure she would like a catio or enclosure if possible. If you think that you would like to take Khalia on as a project, please email us at info@... and tell us your location, about your household and how you might be a great candidate for her home. We will need to be persuaded that you understand the challenge, not just told that you do. Be descriptive! Khalia is available for a $200 adoption fee.

ADOPTED - EST. F4 FEMALE SV ETSA - PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL
ADOPTED - EST. F4 FEMALE SV ETSA - PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL ETSA IS NOW A SPOILED CONTENTED KITTY IN HER NEW HOME!! Etsa is a gorgeous Savannah that was down on her luck and we wish to turn her life around with a great new home. We have estimated from looks that she is F4 but she easily could be F3 with those huge ears and big puffy nose. Etsa was found by a kind cat rescuer in a gas station parking lot, very very thin. She had a microchip that gave some history, she had been dumped at animal control 8 weeks beforehand, adopted out after two weeks but surviving outside there only 6 weeks later. Etsa had terrible diarrhea and it has taken some time to get that under control, and it appears that she needs a special Rx diet, Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome Stress kibble has done the trick for her and her stools are now normal. Her fecal PCR test is negative for everything and she has been fully vaccinated (and already spayed). A new home must be prepared to keep her on this diet, or work with their vet to change to another sensitive diet. Etsa is being fostered by a cat rescuer, and it is apparent that she does not like other cats very much. Their opinion is that she should be an only cat. We would think that a slow thoughtful introduction to a well-behaved medium to large dog should work. She loves people, the rescuer thought older kids should be great with her. We don't know if she is used to children so wouldn't recommend babies or toddlers. If you are located near West Palm Beach, FL and think that Etsa would be happy in your home, please email us at info@... to give us your location and tell us why Etsa is going to love your home. Her adoption fee will be $200.

UPDATE - FOSTER FOUND - MODESTO, CA
UPDATE - DAISY HAS A FOSTER AND WILL BE PICKED UP TOMORROW FROM THE SHELTER URGENT - FOSTER NEEDED BY 26TH OCTOBER - MODESTO, CA Daisy is a 1.5 year old F7 intact female Savannah. She was trapped at a feral colony and brought to Animal Control. Unfortunately during that process, she bit someone and is now on a bite hold until the 26th October. AC will release to the owner but potentially to Rescue, given that the owner has left the state and is not responding to any efforts to contact them. It appears from information gleaned from an out-of-state family member that Daisy escaped from the house as the owner moved out and we are unsure how long she was surviving outdoors. It seems possible that the owner did not spay Daisy as contracted, and thus we are looking for a foster home only so that we can take care of that before adopting her out. If you are within driving distance of Modesto and able to pick her up on the 26th October (or soon after potentially), and have a spare room available to foster this lovely girl, please email us at info@... and tell us about your home.

FOSTERED -F2 AND F6 BONDED MALES - SEBASTOPOL, CA
FOSTERED -F2 AND F6 BONDED MALES - SEBASTOPOL, CA BARNABAS AND ZAIRE ARE IN THEIR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME AND ARE SETTLING IN. Barnabus(Barney, F6) and Zaire (F2) are a bonded pair of neutered Savannah males. They are currently being held by a rescue group in Sebastopol, CA but they have listened to the wishes of the breeder and are allowing us to find them a new place to call home. Barney and Zaire's owner has recently died. Obviously this was traumatic for them, as well as the disruption being transferred to the rescue group. Barnabus will be 3 years old in November, and Zaire is 16 months old. Barney is said to be sweet but overwhelmed. Zaire is reported to have been shy and skittish since kittenhood, and all this change is not helping. He is also reported to have occasional respiratory issues. We do not believe any testing has been done, so whether this is a viral issue or allergies we cannot say. These boys need some quiet and some patience. We know that they would have been raised around other cats and dogs in the breeder's home but they would need to settle and bond to you before any introductions. We need a home that can drive to Sebastapol, CA and will consider both foster, adoptive or foster-to-adopt homes at this time. Given the shy nature of Zaire, we would not consider these boys a good fit for younger children, or highly active households. If you are within reach, and able to give these boys a quiet room for some time, please contact us at info@... . We would want to know your location, a good description of your household and why you think your home would be a good landing place for Barnabus and Zaire.
