Please meet Riri, a 12 yo f6 savannah female who is in search of a new furever home. Her owner recently reached out to the rescue for help, as Riri is really anxious around her other pets. Despite all of the owner¡¯s efforts to work with her, she sprays and does not use her litter box (thought to be behavioral due to anxiety). Vet visits have not been able to identify any medical causes, so the owner feels that Riri would do best in a home where she would be the only pet. She is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Riri is described by her owner as being playful, talkative, and fearless. She is sweet and affectionate, loves being pet by her owner and family, and enjoys cuddling and being on her owner¡¯s lap. She is very vocal when she is not attended to and is anxious around other pets in the house. She uses a scratching post, gets on the bed, counters, and furniture like most cats do, and has been able to co-exist with the other pets in the house but is fearful of them. She likes to chase and pounce with a variety of toys, likes things that crackle (such as paper bags), and will fetch items like bottle caps or toys. She has not been regularly around children, so it is unknown how she would be with kids. However, she has been comfortable around all people she has come in contact with. Most of her teeth have been removed and she is on a wet food diet.

The ideal home for Riri would be one that is looking for an affectionate and playful cat and can give Riri the attention she needs. She would need to be the only fur baby (or possibly with only one other docile, mellow cat) and would do well in a home that would have the patience and commitment to help her through her litter box issues. She will need a bit of time to acclimate and settle in during her transition.
