FOR FOSTER/ADOPTION - LEO - 2.5 YO F1 - NEUTERED - LANCASTER COUNTY, PA
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST
?
Leo is a beautiful, misunderstood young F1. He was sold by a broker, not a reputable breeder to a couple in CT who them moved to PA about 6 months ago, at the age of 2 years. The broker presented herself as his breeder and insisted Leo was sweet and friendly. That may or may not have been true. He was shipped to the broker from overseas. Leo is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
?
Leo will not allow his current owners to touch him. He hisses, spits and swats and is not very happy. He seems to like the male in the house better than the female, but neither can touch him. He does love to play and the male in the house can be in the same room with Leo for a couple of hours at a time, but can not get too close.
?
It seems that Leo has been traumatized by being sold as an adult F1 to folks with no savannah or early generation experience. Adult F1s are extremely sensitive and intense and don't react well to change. It will take a lot of time, patience and love for Leo to trust again. Leo has not been to a vet with his current owners. He has not been around children and will need a home at this time with no other pets.
?
Leo does not urinate in his litterbox, but defecates in it. That will have to be worked on with him. He loves to be in an outside catio, so the ability to build one or if you have one already is a necessity.
If you think you can give Leo the time, patience and love he needs, please email info@... - early generation SV experience needed. Please describe home and family, if any. Willingness to work with Leo on building trust is a must!
