Re: 426 outhaul line replacement
Allison, I checked Sailboat Data the main areas are:? 433 for S426 and 377 for S42.? Difference is less than a Laser sail.? A 920 sq ft main would be great for light air, but seriously overpowered

Rear Chainplate Pitted 362
Hello, I am adding a Harken Hydraulic Backstay to my 1994 Sabre 362. One of the twin rear chainplates looks fairly pitted and I am thinking I should consider replacing it since it will now be under

Re: 426 outhaul line replacement
Bob, the sail area on the 426is significantly bigger, 920 sq ft vs 755 sq ft. They are very different boats with different designers. You really do need purchase on the outhaul on the 426. Allison

Re: 426 outhaul line replacement
I don¡¯t recall all the details of the replacement I did last year. ? I¡¯m not 100% certain if the purchase system on the rope component (that leads to the cockpit) used a double floating block or

Re: 426 outhaul line replacement
Neil. I¡¯m not an expert on line. But if you have a ?12:1 ?mechanical advantage it would be overkill and an unnecessary ?expense. I used a polyester single braid and just secure it to a cleat on

Sabre 386 Forward Cabin
I want to have fitted sheets made for the forward cabin v-berth on my 386 but I am 5 hours away from the boatyard. Anyone happen to have the dimensions of the v-berth cushions? Thanks! Stafford

Re: 426 outhaul line replacement
Thanks Bob - we have our outhaul led back to the cockpit through a rope clutch, I¡¯m thinking dyneema style single braid might not hold well in the clutch? ¡ªNeil neil dot e dot russell at gmail.com

Re: 402 head/shower drains
If you confirm that it is plumbed into the wet exhaust, then you need to correct this. Running the engine could lead to CO getting into the main cabin via the drain. If that white hose has any cracks

On Restless the head and shower join at a T that is extremely difficult to access and then go thru a strainer under the head sink and then pumped into the drain for the head sink. Roger Kuebel

Neil. On our S42 ?put two triple blocks compounded with a single block. The triples are in the boom. One is shackled to the pin that secures the mainsheet blocks. The other is on the line going to

426 outhaul line replacement
Our outhaul has been very difficult to operate recently, we had it apart briefly at the yard and the solution seems to be new line, and maybe blocks. Sadly I neglected to take any photos while the

Thanks for the replies.? The first year I used the side mount rig That @JeffBoyle shows, and the hauler decided he would never do that again, as the width was too much for our local route.? I think

Re: Autopilot _ACU 100 OK_error msg_NO PILOT
I did miss something in my earlier response. That is that if there was a fault causing No Pilot initially and then a software update caused a further issue, you now apparently have 2 issues, unless

Re: Autopilot _ACU 100 OK_error msg_NO PILOT
Hi Verne, I am assuming that since an update was necessitated by Raymarine, that the EV100 pilot has worked properly in the past and this is not an installation issue. If the ACU has been tested and

Re: Icebox conversion for 1984 Sabre 28-3
I converted my ice chest just as you're wanting to do by installing the Frigoboat keel-cooler cooler on my S-38 Mk I. It's simple, quiet, doesn't take up much space, and doesn't draw much power. Next

Re: Autopilot _ACU 100 OK_error msg_NO PILOT
Hate it when that happens. If you've been on the group for a while, you'll know that I have no love for Raymarine. The first question I'd be asking is whether the ACU is properly connected to SeaTalk.
