Neil. On our S42 ?put two triple blocks compounded with a single block. The triples are in the boom. One is shackled to the pin that secures the mainsheet blocks. The other is on the line going to the main clew. I put a single block on the main clew ran a second line from the shackle on the triple, through the block on the clew and dead ended to thefitting at the aft end of the boom. Purchase is now 12:1. Works with no effort.?
I first used double braid but it was prone to kinks. Switched to single brai, ?no kinks.?
