Our outhaul has been very difficult to operate recently, we had it apart briefly at the yard and the solution seems to be new line, and maybe blocks. Sadly I neglected to take any photos while the assembly was out of the boom.
Searching the archives, I can¡¯t find anything specific to the 426 about the purchase -
most mentions are for 34/36/38 - with 3:1 purchase.
There are several mentions about using single braid, or dyneema as replacement, too.
So two questions:
1. how much line / what is the purchase? We lead this back to the cockpit...
2. what type of line?
