Re: Disable Shari PiHat Green Blinking Light

开云体育

I never noticed it since mine is two rooms away
with what is essentially a 3/4 wave dipole on it.

I put a 3/4 wave radiator and a 3/4 wave counterpoise on it.
This stopped the hum I was getting. It stopped my node
from using the power wire as the counterpoise.

I wanted a wide angle footprint in this condo.

The clip on torroid is still? there at the power cube.
It's not enough.

I'd rather have the light blink to indicate a problem, rather than having it blink for decoration / heartbeat indication, if that's an option?

Thanks Hank,
I think I'm going to have to do something similar. I actually have most of my internet devices in my shack a.k.a. family den.

Re: Key up's?

When I removed all the "extras" (ie autosky and broadcastify) still had the issue, I am looking at things I changed in settings.?

As long as I don't connect out it's fine.

Rick I did exactly what you did and my wife did not like the Green flashing light either.? I decided to move my router to? my shack by splitting the cancers to the TV and then to the internet box in the shack.? It is great to now run my computer off the router that provides higher speed than wifi.

Re: Key up's?

This sounds very much like an issue I had with my node. I just switched to a different pi & SD card and it was fine. I plan to eventually reinstall everything on the original pi but haven't felt the need or had the time yet.?
?
I did wonder if it had something to do with autosky but don't know why that would be.?

Key up's?

Any one else having problems with the node keying up and staying keyed for the duration of the time out then going back to normal??
mine does this then works like normal for a bit then does it again staying keyed up till the time out timer. at random intervals.
?
{Editors note:
i have this connected to my repeater via RF.?
?
I have autosky installed and the COS led. (followed directions i found by created by N8AR and WA3DSP.)?
uninstalled the COS to see if that fix's the issue, or if not i will further uninstall other stuff to see if that helps.
also got broadcastify to work.
?
any one else having this issue?
?
BTW no feed back re-key is happening. works just fine till it doesnt then messes up.? .}

Re: Shari PiHatU (Unistorm) beeping upon bootup

Indeed nodes were all on same frequency, so HT radios could work any of them if powered up.

Sa818 isn’t known for being too terribly selective.?? Even an adjacent frequency could cause this.

Subject: [SHARI] Shari PiHatU (Unistorm) beeping upon bootup

?

Just a quick heads up.. I pulled my Shari PiHat U off the shelf after being off for 8-9 months.? I was in the midst

of updating all my images with SuperMon7.4+.?? Two of my previous nodes completed upgrades fine.? However,

when plugging in my Unistorm, it booted up, was seen on the network, but proceeded to PTT and send beep on

monitor receiver repeatedly. I would say the beep was every second.? It would never stop even after a couple reboots.

?

Finding: All the beeping disappeared, and Unistorm was back to working like it did 9 months back, AFTER I unplugged

the other RPI based Allstar nodes I had live and online.? I am guessing this beeping stemmed from port conflicts.

I'm guessing what probably happened is that you have multiple nodes on the same frequency, and they pingponged back and forth for a while.

I have had this occur if another of my nodes is on the same frequency.

Anything blocking the signal will cause it not to work correctly?

Yes, still keys up . This node is in an isolated area in Rocky Mountains so stray rf is out.?
