Thanks for all your comments so far everyone. We¡¯re already using a mixture of URI¡¯s, CM108¡¯s, modified USB Sound cards with Baofengs, Wouxuns, Motorola¡¯s and others and we¡¯re trying to move

I think ¡°most¡± is a stretch, *some* is probably a better characterization. The individual asking the question never mentioned DVSwitch and you wouldn¡¯t be connecting any of those modes via a

Re: 4/6m Shari node

Yes I know about Shari and how it works. you also have to realize that most would be running a DVSwitch server on it as well to allow Digital modes.

DINAH is "plug and setup" with the FT-8900 quad band radio (10m - 6m - 2m - 70cm).? Just plug the provided 6 pin miniDIN cable into the miniDIN jacks on DINAH and the FT-8900.

I have a friend who has a 6m node. ?It¡¯s not a SHARI. He uses a HP or Dell thin client computer running Linux and AllstarLink with a masters communications DRA along to connect a 6M

Repeater Builder has a device called a "RIM Alinco" that attaches to the back of any of the older monoband Alinco radios, which, I believe, includes a 6M mobile -

None of that¡¯s relevant for Allstar. ?Allstar is analog over a digital network - you could theoretically turn any transceiver into an Allstar node, it¡¯s not limited to UV frequencies like say

DMR does not work below 72 Mhz due to bandwidth.? I would assume P25 and NXDN are in the same boat.
