Re: Fuel tank connections
Very useful and I like the shut off valve idea and my tanks just had a rubber fuel line going between the two tanks so that¡¯s interesting to hear it¡¯s supposed to be a hard line and I did look up

Re: Fuel tank connections
I had aluminum tanks made for my S2 and I "T" the passengers side tank to the drivers tank and the fuel pump. No problems. I did add a shut off valve before the fuel pump so you can replace the pump

Yeah, sorry. I was tired when I typed that. Sure, the Dellortos are better. Looking forward to putting some on my car for comparison.

Dellorto's are an amazing Carborator. To say Weber's are NOT as good, is false in my experience. The Weber's have many more parts that can fail and much more difficult to tune. But if you know , how

Picking nits, but it's... Weber DCOE, and Dellorto DHLA. In my humble opinion, Dellortos beat Webers hands down. Regards Tim Engel 04/03/2025, 8:04PM, Bill Galbraith, <lotus@...> wrote:

What you are looking for at Dellorto DCOE 45E carbs. The shop manual has the proper jetting. You might stumble across some DCOE 45 (no ¡°E¡±) carbs. You¡¯ll need to search the internet for some.

The scissor jack would be the wise choice - it's firm and incrementally adjustable. One doesn't want the door flopping around with risk of scratched paint.

I haven¡¯t tried this, but I was thinking of suspending the door from the ceiling with a strap that would give it the height support it needs, but still allow it to swing sort of freely. Dave C
