Re: Fuel tank connections

Very useful and I like the shut off valve idea and my tanks just had a rubber fuel line going between the two tanks so that¡¯s interesting to hear it¡¯s supposed to be a hard line and I did look up on SJ what they offer as a connector and it¡¯s clearly more robust than just the rubber lines and Connectors I had and did get the tank from SJ for the passenger side with the float and got the driver side from sports car world, thanks, Gordon

I you bought the aluminum tanks from? SJ SPORTSCARS? on the driver? side tank there is 1 nipple where the fuel bridge line connects with a 10 inch piece of hose to the metal tubing that goes across the bottom of the car through the frame. Then there is another 10 inch long hose that connects to the passenger side of the bridge line and to the nipple on the passenger tank. Then passenger tank other nipple. You connect piece of hose? ?6 inch. And then a 100 micron fuel filter. Then a Carter P4070 fuel pump. Keep pump at bottom of passenger fuel tank. The continue towards Carborators. Put 40 micron filter. Then put a Malpassi fuel pressure regulator. Then put a fuel pressure gauge. Then connect to Carborators. Then Start the car set the Malpassi regular to 3 pounds. Set the timing to 10 degree BTDC? now tune the? car. Good luck. Where are you located . If you have any questions and , I can be of help . I may not answer the phone. Because of strange no. But text me first. Tell me your name? and what its about. I will call you by back . Regards PETER?

I had aluminum tanks made for my S2 and I "T" the passengers side tank to the drivers tank and the fuel pump. No problems. I did add a shut off valve before the fuel pump so you can replace the pump if necessary.

Getting ready to put my S2 tanks in in my federal S2 and not sure if they¡¯re supposed to be a T or a Y connection under one of the tanks so they¡¯re joined but yet also feeding the fuel pump?, How do they go? Don¡¯t remember and nothing relevant in the manual. Thanks, Gordon.
