the AA-30 Zero will go to 170Mhz with no issues, It can go higher if you modify one of the INF files? just don't remember which one

Alex, it looks like I may have a bad cable. The tip of the LINE IN is open. LINE OUT checks out OK (the unit decodes just fine). This may explain why I am never able to see any TI-5000 sound card. I discovered this by metering the audio pins after looking at a schematic to see which ones did the audio.

A new cable is on the way from DXengineering. Hope this fixes it.

When connecting the TI-5000 to your computer the above (virtual) dedicated comports are created for the TI-5000. So do not use COM4 in Wsjtx when using the TI-5000, but use the indicated Com-ports as shown above:?COM8 for CAT - and COM9 for PTT.

Other settings I use with my K3:
CAT settings: Databits 8, Stopbits 2 and handshake none.
PTT settings: RTS, Mode None and Split operation Fake it.

Thanks for the info! But, I am quite certain my cable is faulty. The tip of the LINE IN goes no where (open). I metered it from one end to the other. ?DXengineering is sending another cable.

I restored my system to prior backup. I reattached the Signalink, and all works with it. I did several other things:

With the TI-5000

-I turned up the MON on the K3, and did the WSJTX tune. Silence.

-Then I tried FSK, also silence

With the Signalink

-After restoring the backup and reattaching the Signalink, the WSJTX tune provides a nice loud tone

-FSK sounds are also present.

?

I am starting to think this is a faulty unit (or the cable is bad).

?

If I can’t figure this thing out, it goes back to DXEngineering.

Ideally, the name should be of the type: TI-5000 Sound device.
If the name is not specified, then Windows will assign a default name: USB Audio CODEC
