Alex,

?

I restored my system to prior backup. I reattached the Signalink, and all works with it. I did several other things:

With the TI-5000

-I turned up the MON on the K3, and did the WSJTX tune. Silence.

-Then I tried FSK, also silence

With the Signalink

-After restoring the backup and reattaching the Signalink, the WSJTX tune provides a nice loud tone

-FSK sounds are also present.

?

I am starting to think this is a faulty unit (or the cable is bad).

?

If I can¡¯t figure this thing out, it goes back to DXEngineering.

Good morning, Alex

?

This is totally frustrating me. Even without WSJTX/JTDX running, the port monitor program gives me the AUDIO ERRORCODE:13 error:

RigExpert TI5000 S/N 00455

??? CAT Port ???????? ?- COM8

??? PTT/CW Port ?- COM9

??? FSK Port ????????? ?- COM7

??? WinKey Port ? ?- COM6

??? AUDIO ErrorCode: 13

?

The port that I should be using is COM4.

?

It does decode and the PTT seems to work under WSJTX control (I can see a slight increase in the AMPS), but no output.

?

This is what I see in the sound settings:

?

I am not getting close to having WSJTX work, but:

?

?

?

When I successfully use the Signalink, the above looks the same but the 5 is replaced by a 2.

?

It seems that my system will not recognize the soundcard correctly in the TI-5000.

?

Lastly:

?

I am using the Elecraft K3 EL-001s cable.

?

What am I missing?

?

Any suggestions?

Dear Jim,

Error 13 indicates that Windows could not correctly determine the name of the interface sound card.
Ideally, the name should be of the type: TI-5000 Sound device.
If the name is not specified, then Windows will assign a default name: USB Audio CODEC

Here's an example screenshot:

But this does not mean at all that the sound device is not working. Probably the problem is with the settings.
Please show the sound settings in the programs you are using.

For example, here are my settings for TI-5000, Yaesu FT-857 and WSJT-x:

?

?

And yes, what is the serial number of your TI-5000?

Trying to upgrade my Signalink USB to a TI-5000. The Signalink works perfect without much effort, but the TI-5000 won't transmit, either in FT8 or FSK. However, it decodes just fine. I am guessing a faulty unit at this point.
The PTT seems to work, but there is NO audio coming out of this unit. I have been trying different things all day with no success, but putting the Signalink back in service works perfectly. I am inches away from returning this unit to DXengineering unless someone can tell me what might be wrong.
Yes, I did go through the driver install successfully, I guess.
The error I am getting from the monitor program is AUDIO ERRORCODE:13.?
Should be plug and play, but it's not.
Anyone have any ideas?
