DVAP random transmissions, another piece of the puzzle
I've been watching the random transmissions that happen with QnetGateway and my DVAP today and I believe I have finally found a pattern. What appears to be happening is when the DVAP does it's random

Lost contact with DVAP
Every once in a great while QnetGateway seems to forget that it has a DVAP attached. While it doesn't happen often, every once in a while I will walk into the room and see the DVAP slowly flashing

Glad to see it working Jeff.
While we are on a Raspberry Pi track - how can I get a RPI 3B+ to run headless? I enjoy QnetGateway in Terminal Mode, but it has been awhile and I cannot remember how to

Re: Port forwarding
Depends, if you are only using IPv4, then the following ports should be forwarded:
UDP Port 40000
If you want people to be able to link to your hotspot directly over DPlus protocol, UDP port 20001.

Re: Icom Id-4100a and raspberry pi for terminal mode
Jeff
All thats required if you wish to connect to QuadNet's network with terminal mode is the OPC-2350LU cable, which you likely have. You might not, so you'll want to check. My ID-51A PLUS 2 came

Re: Icom Id-4100a and raspberry pi for terminal mode
The first question is, "Is there a D-STAR repeater in range?" -- That is
actually the best way, if it has a gateway that can be linked to the
Quadnet. People are over quick to jump to "hotspots" and

1. Just enter reflector and module in qnconfig you wish to link to at startup. Example: XRF123 A
2. There is no timeout. However, it will drop the connection if the reflector stops responding

Please notice that IPv6 uses UDP port 9011 for routing. This is for all routing ¨C Zone, Group, and Callsign.
Another thing ¨C IPv6 was defined with
