Hi Hans, I certainly am not in terminal mode. It doesn't work even if I simply turn on the radio then hold the volume button down indefinitely nothing happens beyond the "Shutdown!" message. I went

Re: QMX Failure Discovered...and new problem
I got the Q108 transistor and replaced it with no issues. Testing board out of circuit showed no problems. I took one more look at the p/s's and found that I had knocked off D105 from the 3.3 V board.

Re: Stripping enamel insulation off of magnet wire & Rotary Magnet Wire Strippers
Gee guys, I have had my two Solomon ceramic soldering stations for years and am still using the same tips. I usually run them as hot as they will go, clean them on a wet sponge or rag, apply new

Hi all, I have build a high band QDX witch Blown up dramatic and now my low band QDX works OK on RX but will crash if i TX on 20M. It will TX on 80, 60, 40 and 30M without error but if a start TX on

Pawe?, What then is the input impedance of the Tayloe downconverter at the receive frequency? You can read Dan Tayloe's very interesting response to Steve K1RF's question

Current necessary for PTT connection on 50W PA?
Greetings all, I am working on a project which will trigger the PTT on 50W PAs using pins on an Adafruit Trinket M0. I can use a BSS138-based converter to bring the 3.3V logic levels to 5V, however,

Re: QMX and FT8CN audio issue - strange issue
Hi Mike, Same for me, happy WSJT-X user with two QDXes. But I have started to use FT8CN with Oppo Reno 4 smartphone... To have good TX I needed to reduce rise threshold to 70%. I made dozen of

Re: QMX build for [40m/30m] , [20m/17m] & [15m/12m/10m] #qmx
John, I would say that conversion from MHz range to tens of kHz range makes no difference to having 0 IF. For me the important is that the circuit have correct impedance for the particular band

Re: Fldigi and QMX successful???
Dan, Rig control as TS-480 or TS-440 should work with flidgi standalone, but not transmitting digital modes unless you are using firmware 006 or earlier. Later Hamlib versions also define the QDX and

But that plays hell on your soldering tip. It will oxidize faster when you have the soldering iron set so high. Good tips cost $. Dean - KC9REN

Re: #qmx Power supplies and the measured PWM #qmx
Hi Bojan The firmware needs to see the voltage at the 3.3V ADC line exceed 1.65V and that at the 5V ADC line exceed 2.5V. So it SHOULD work if you provided externally produced 3.3V and 5V rails, as

Looks like there is a problem with LPF2 But wondering also why current consumption on 60 is so low.

Re: #qmx Power supplies and the measured PWM #qmx
Hi, a question to Hans: What if the PCB #2 SMPS card is not present (or is faulty)? So the ADC 3V3 signal line would be open. Does the FW algorithm let the 3V3 linear regulator work for VDD

Nick, The Tayloe circuit is incredibly robust, tolerating all manner of egregious sins! It also possesses its own intrinsic BPF property. I would give your idea a try. We might all be pleasantly
