Re: IC-10 shorted? And some success
?I wonder if the OPA2134 would be a good replacement?? I haven't looked over the datasheets in detail.? I guess it also depends what you can get your hands on. 73, Michael KM4OLT

Re: IC-10 shorted? And some success
Thanks Eddie, ZS6BNE IF earphone jack shorts to ground = No Audio that is true BUT not affect the voltages on IC-10a, as cap C-51 provides isolationunless it is shorted ~ then the voltages would be

Re: Assembly manual Rev 1.08
Hi Dee The gain of the I side is 3x higher than it should be. But this is somewhat cancelled out by the extra resistance (3.3K instead of 1K) in series to the I-Q balance trimmer pot. The I-Q balance

Hans, Regarding the swapping of R19 & R25 (error on silkcreen) what would be the effect of those two resistors being swapped? I think I allready know the answer but would like confirmation before I

Re: FT8 for U3?
Should have mentioned also that the current U3S firmware does already have HELL/JT65 and JT9...also QSO modes. I see no difference having FT8 for those that should like to experiment with

Re: FT8 for U3?
Sorry, too many QSO modes as it is and most operating,(not saying you guys) are using WAY too much power and not following the band plans. Each new QSO mode to me looks more like a bunch of seagulls

Ernie, Been bouncing back and forth between Opera 40m and testing this FT8 on 6m band.Looks like 6m is not too bad but have to run around 50 watts. The big stations seem to be working 6m which

Re: FT8 for U3?
David, Yes WSPR is the obvious choice. It seems to me that many of the other mode "grabbers" are to alert users that a QSO with a spotted station is possible rather than just to test propagation? 73

Re: Moving the CW filter center frequency
Hi Andy I would suggest try 400 and 600Hz for the audio phase shift adjustment. If you left it at 800Hz it would not be bad, either... I do not know really the answer to this and I have not tried it
