QMX receiver range
Anyone know the range of the QMX receiver?? Looked in docs do not see a range, upper and lower limits?
BTW - my QMX is working great, made FT8 contacts on all band except 60 meters.? Receiver is

Re: QDX - protection of BS17O PA
Rearranging your statement, it would double the output capacitance.? This is likely significant, especially at the higher frequencies.

I have just measured the frequency of this tone and it is actually 706 Hz.
Any ideas anyone?

As the GPS inputs on the QCX are re used paddle inputs (IIRC) pumping the data stream in there in normal TX/RX mode will lock the CPU up if it doesn't enter Practice (TX disable) mode first

Re: #qmx post build issues and troubleshooting deadends
#qmx
1) Is known already. Future firmware will fix.
2) Is a hardware issue. What is the PWR_HOLD voltage before and after
you try to shutdown? (I measure at R105 or gate of Q104)

#qmx post build issues and troubleshooting deadends

Hi Everyone!
I've finished my QMX build, and going through fit and function tests.? So far I have identified two issues that appear to be software related and have all but ruled out hardware as a

Re: QDX Rev 2 problem
Dean,
off the top of my head an I5 should be sufficient.? (I'm not a Windows person :-) ) When the issue occurs how busy is the FT8 frequency you are on?
I would use the performance monitor tool

Hello all,
I have been following this interesting discussion.
I have a K2, which has in-built high current protection, which often trips using an automatic
antenna tuner. Whilst tuning up, my fast

Re: QDX - protection of BS17O PA
At Motorola, we put a known SWR load on the end of a line stretcher and were therefore able to test a PA over the entire fixed VSWR circle of the Smith chart. This was easy to do at UHF, but would not

Continuous tone in the QMX Receiver
Hello All
Almost a 100% build success.
All appears to be working well with the QMX. Except for a continuous tone about 800-900Hz in the headphones.
It isn't the CW side tone as I hear this when key

I am saying this because the only two MOSFETs I have unintentionally changed into resistors were from my first QDX Low bands by using full power into a QRP ATU matching an OCF

Re: QDX - protection of BS17O PA
Hi Hans,
my idea was to use an ATU as a load, with some kind of indication of the L, C parts used at each step and then you can go into a load open or short and let it tries to find a non existent

I' m talking about QDX.? I don't have th QMX yet.
My antenna is a short endfed for 40m 20m 10m starting at 10m hight the end on 6m hight.
The oscilation I got moostly on 40m. Perhaps different
