I (sic) there anyone that can help the WPSD Digital Voice (sic) by W0CHP and his team to add a Cross mode or transcoding so we could access M-17 from DMR or Fusion ?
Some modes can crossmode, because the codec version/protocol is the same between the modes. Transcoding is used when the codec versions/protocols are different/incompatible between the modes.
Transcoding is typically achieved via hardware (read: more money to DVSI for the "privilege" of using their AMBE vocoder technology), or by using software which was derived from reverse engineered, copyrighted firmware.
WPSD crossmodes between compatible vocoded modes, but does not transcode.
Even if someone contributed that kind of software transcoding functionality to WPSD, I'd reject it, and it would not make it into production code/distributions. At least with the software-based transcoding solutions as they stand today...
In order to transcode DMR and/or YSF, to M17 and vice versa, it would require software which likely infringes on copyrights. I simply can't put the project at risk; as it would affect many thousands of users and installations across the globe.
There are better solution(s) on the horizon, of which I'm not really qualified to talk about (not my project[s]), and I think it will help meet the crossmode/transcode features people desire.
