Hi Roger,
This was where I came before getting my GM811G. I'm fairly strictly AP myself. I do DSO imaging, Nebula specifically.
So my needs are different. I say fairly strictly because I have done a few peeps visually, and some DSLR comet shooting of Neowise. But other than that, strictly AP. It's always been my point and reason.

It has never been said that a mount was too big for a use. But often, I think folks might undersize their mounts. My 811 is rated for 50 pounds. My equipment from the clamp up is 17.5 pounds. Well under weighted.
For your specifications, I'd say a would be your mount of choice. Its rating is a 75 pound Photographic Instrument.
A has a rating of 60 pounds Photographic instrument.
As far as I know, from the G11 up the mounts all use the Heavy Duty Tripods. Which can hold up a tank. I went the extra for mine and got the HD mount.
Rock solid. And the quality Scott Losmandy personally puts into all of his mounts is unsurpassed.

Oh, and here is a mount comparison chart:?
