Re: MARS mod on TX500
Which branch of MARS is most active nowadays? Army MARS? Navy MARS? Air Force MARS? Seabee MARS? I didn¡¯t realize there were still so many active MARS volunteers these days.

Re: MARS mod on TX500
That¡¯s still on my to do list. So wait, even though the mod would be carried out by a factory trained tech (right?) it would still void its Warranty? That would make it pointless no? Might as well

Re: MARS mod on TX500
I just talked to the service center in NV, the guy who picked up said it's usually a good idea to wait until the 1 year warranty is over as doing the MARs mod will void the warranty. He also mentioned

Re: latest on the BP-500
The radio will charge with the excess current, and the voltage supplied to the radio will be a max of 13.8 (I am not totally sure about that point but I think I am right). The Li ion batteries will

Re: latest on the BP-500
"If I plug power into the BP500 and run the radio at the same time. The radio will operate and the BP500 will charge with any excess current." That was supposed to be a question, not a statement.

Hi Guys n Gals (I hope that doesn't offend) Here's a question I have been wanting to ask and assuming I ever see the BP500 I ordered in April. Assuming the BP500 is attached to the radio: If I plug

Re: New Firmware available: v1.18.08
Thanks, team, for the update.? I had read a very early BP-500 English manual and I recall a warning to not use radio power input with connected battery. My memory could be faulty (just ask my XYL).

Re: New Firmware available: v1.18.08
The manual that has that info is the BP500 manual...; specifically: bottom half of page number nine......SO, just make sure that the BP500 itself does not have ANY leds illuminated (located under the

Re: New Firmware available: v1.18.08
Andrey, I'm not sure that the English version of the operating manual (v1.12.04) has included that info yet. The BP-500 is not mentioned. No doubt it will be in the next update.

Re: New Firmware available: v1.18.08
That's correct behavior. You have to use external power directly to the tx500 in order to update the fw. And it's written in the latest user manual. And there's is no need to disconnect BP500 from

Re: TX-500 and DigiRig Interface / Cables - Any Guides?
Digirig makes a unit set up specifically for the TX500, with specific cables to go with it. I bought it when I got my TX500 a while back and they work perfectly together. I know some HAMs hate the

Did you check windows/Linux audio control? Sounds like it¡¯s a bit low. Click tune in WSJX and slowly move the playback level slider until you have about 10W PO. Also put the power slider in the app
