TM-V71A USB speed setting

I friend indicated it's done in two areas; the radio and the RT systems software. After reviewing the manual it looks like the RT software left out that feature. I'll have to call/email them. In the meanwhile, I'll have to use the OEM software (which is not as nice) to make the change as mentioned on page 89, step 2.? I still have to find where in the radio's menu to match that. Tad Danley K3TD #345 开云体育 Hi Karl, I use the RT Systems TM-V71 software and programming cable with my Windows PC - works fine with no issues and no need to set the baud rate.? Yes, the current settings work fine, just that there is a 10-15 second delay before the two start communicating. I did find in the radio's menu 519, page 20 but I already have it to 9600.?? I have three of these radios. Some of them don't have that delay, which I started research on why. I called RT Systems and said it does not have that feature.? I would expect that to be for packet, not programming. 99% of radios set their own speed when programming. I called RT Systems and said it does not have that feature.? I'm back to trying out the (obsolete) OEM software. You can do that. Usually the original OEM software works better than aftermarket. And there's nothing "obsolete" about it if it's the latest/last version Kenwood released. I use G707 software in a Win10 environment often. Runs fine-no problem detecting the USB cable. What more do you need?
K7SRG All Messages By This Member #393 I run either xp or 7 for all my stuff.? The interface on something newer is not for me.? I like to do research so I can help others later.? Not all amateurs are on GIO.? And part of the hobby is finding out " why ". I used the OEM software at work but the RT Systems software have a nice layout and features. Plus, they actually answer the phone or email :)?? I understand everyone is different and that's cool.
