There is an issue ( https://github.com/km4ack/pi-build/issues/296 ) that was reported with the latest version of hamlib. The fix has been posted here ( /g/KM4ACK-Pi/message/5509 )

Rich, KB3YBE, reported that hamlib 4.3 will not compile on the Pi. There is a missing dependency (libusb-1.0) The most current version of libusb on the pi is 1.0.22 but hamlib 4.3 needs 1.0.23 to
