Connecting the Blue Tooth to FT817
Hi
I have created the new Bullseye Raspian OS and done the BAP. I need to get the Blue Tooth connected is it in BAP or do I need to re-educate myself on how to do that? I haven't looked in BAP yet will do that this afternoon, didn't think of that till now. I hope so but if now anyone have the instructions? Marty kd8bj |
Re: Pi scripts
Wally Tuck
I have successfully got my 7100 to work with PAT and winlink. Thanks! Now I have been trying to connect my FT 2900? to PAT via a USB signalink. It broadcasts but I get a "CONNECTION REFUSED" error. I am not using rigctrl and my winlink password is correct. Also when I installed PAT and ax25 and Direwolf, I didn't install arpdop but PAT config has it configured. How can I get ardop removed from the config, how can I get the connection refused error cleared and how can I remove BAP and start again with the correct config without having to wipe my microSD card every time and start fresh? I have an ssd card that I am waiting to put into play on this pi. Thanks in advance, Wally K7TUK

You need to give the HID device kernel permission, as described in ?
The HID device driver asserts pin 13 on the CM108 or CM119 to drive

Adding ¡°PTT CM108¡± to /home/<user>/direwolf.conf should work with

In BAP, Programs | Ham Radio | Dire Wolf should be on the GUI Desktop
menu.
If not you need to install or build direwolf.

Make sure direwolf is running:
ps -A | grep direwolf
You shold see something like:

If direwolf is not running, install the latest direwolf package (v1.6
released)
sudo apt-get update
apt-cache showpkg direwolf
sudo apt-get install direwolf

Better: Build and install the latest direwolf version 1.7,
as described in

Direwolf can run as a standalone digipeater.
but is more useful as the AGW or KISS TNC socket interface to other
applications.

Direwolf I don't have one if the DINAH sound cards to test with. I believe you would only need to get the PTT line configured in direwolf for the card. You might ask in the direwolf forum /g/direwolf/topics and see if anyone there might be able to point you in a good direction. One thing that you will need installed that I didn't use in the Winlink gateway video is hamlib (rigctl). If you didn't install it the first time before installing direwolf, you will need to reinstall both so that direwolf is compiled with rigctl. Please understand this is an educated guess since I don't have the sound card here to test with. -- 73, de KM4ACK

Stem project
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello,I¡¯m working with three schools on STEM (science technology engineering and math) projects. We will be launching high altitude balloons for each school flying home made loggers in the payload. (They are learning arduino, electronics, coding, and will be doing some data modeling with the logged data with python) One school I have 3 students who obtained their licensee and the 4th is taking his exam this weekend. I¡¯m really pushing them to get licensed as it would be a lot cooler to see the tracker flying with one of their call signs than mine. We will be flying the light aprs +wspr tracker which will give us both aprs and wspr tracking of the balloon in flight. As a reward I¡¯d like to get them going on some cool projects with a pi and modest priced ht radio. What projects would you all recommend or have you done that I can keep the fire going with this young hams? Thanks, Tom |
Re: Drivers for IC 7100
I, would still be interested on how this was resolved. You don't have to download the drivers on a Linux system. They are already built into the kernal. Jim was simply selecting the wrong port for the radio. Once he chose the other port, FLRIG connected to the radio. -- 73, de KM4ACK

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Don,
?
Thanks for the reply, AFAIK FL rig isn¡¯t in the mix, the software is just
Direwolf and Lin BPQ.
?
About the only extra information I can add is that I am trying to establish
a 2m Gateway and that the DINAH uses GPIO3 on the CM119B chip.

All the best!

Re: Winlink Gateway -> DINAH and Direwolf
I have a Master Communication DRA 36 and I'm running on Hamvoip. I had to switch a pin to make it work on the Allstar node I have from regular soundcard?use. I never tried it on Build a Pi. I do know in Winlink Express I used UZ7HO. I had to download PTT.DLL.zip from the UZ7HO web page so UZ7HO PTT the radio. I imagine that in Build a PI Flrig?is Ptting?the radio and if you point pnp codec of C media chip it should work.? Good Luck 73 Don Poaps New Westminster, BC VA7DGP DATA VA7QU ?
