Wow, it has been 50 years since I had an SX-115. Great receiver. The only thing I can think of is that the narrow BW filter is no longer tuned to the 50 KHZ last IF stage. 73 ¨C Mike

Download the S-38C manual and the tubes are listed in the SERVICE PART LIST
page.
V1 is 12SA7 Converter
V2 is 12SG7 IF Amplifier and BFO
V3 12SQ7 or 12SQ7GT/G Detector and audio amplifier

Correction: second tube is a 12SG7, fat fingers. The tubes are typical "All American 5" meant to work from AC or DC at about 115 volts.

You want tubes that all draw the same heater current so that the heater voltage for each tube is correct.? The 6SK7 heater draws 300 mA, not the 150 mA of all of the other tubes.? The heater voltage
