Re: SR2000 Cant Null carrier
Oh, I think the line you see going across the rotor is the edge of the plating. Only half of the rotor and stator are plated. The stator is plated on the bottom. The rotor is plated on the inside

Thanks C, I don¡¯t recall seeing one like this. Your pic gives me a much better idea about its construction. I can just make out a line going across, almost thru the center, but I can¡¯t understand

Re: SR2000 load cap
There is no room to move the cap to line up. It would stick out of the PA cabinet. Any lower and it his the Tune cap. Its really tight in there Walt. I will figure something out! We must save this

Re: SR2000 load cap
Have you looked at the possibility of moving the mounting holes of the U bracket the capacitor is mounted. Or making a new bracket to align the shafts. Walt Cates, WD0GOF

Re: 3 gang Variable cap needed
The ball bearings fell out. That allowed all the plates to touch. Someone continued to operate it that way and burned up some plates. Even with new balls and adjustment of the end stop, all the plates

Re: 3 gang Variable cap needed
Did all the moveable plates shift sideways, causing the gap in one direction to be much smaller than the other?? If yes, can you momentarily make the gap even by tugging (hard) on the shaft?? I had

Re: SR2000 load cap
Are there any other models that use the same cap? I have a HT-37 complete that I will likely part out, as I can't find any one that pill pay $100 for it. Maybe they use the same cap?

C, You are in a tough spot. It hurts. Here is my 2 cents of hogwash on the topic. If I had that situation, I would want to restore it: beg for a real SR2000 cap , perhaps from a total basket case, or

Even better, I like the idea of two small pulleys and either a dial cord or "o" ring ala Heathkit HW or SB series.I would be happy to send you two small heathkit pulleys that fit a 1/4 in shaft if you

Re: SR2000 load cap
How about a piece of 1/2 plastic rod, drill a 1/4" hole down the middle, slice off a couple sections and sleeve them on to the two shafts. Then run an O ring as a belt like Heathkit did on the HW 101?
