Re: 3456A DMM lucked out I think
The unit is still working OK. I haven't tried bumping it around yet to see how stable the board connections are. I think the bottle cap spacers will work OK, but it remains to be seen. I think

Re: OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
HI Gyorgy, I executed the various commands related to the creation, use, and deletion of a macro for the 8310, it all worked very well. The PDF shows you the different commands that I used to

Re: OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
Hi, George and Yves.? I used an 8310 at work a few years ago.? We found the attenuator modules inside the box unreliable, unfortunately.? At least the interface was simple enough.? Good luck with

Re: OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
Yves, you are fantastic !!!!! I am on my mobile phone ( in the bed, since it is 00.00 AM), but I will try in the morning. We will see if my theory will be proven or not. Thanks a million, G Gyorgy

Re: OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
Hi Yves, I have an identical unit like yours. The 8310 manual is not really including the setup and programming details, only on the top level, to access the attenuator values. In the 8210 manual (

Re: OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
Gyorgy, Here is the copy of this 24LC256 EEPROM. We see in the contents of the file that my model is a Weinschel 8310-136-F and the firmware is V 2.70. The EEPROM is almost empty. There is the

Hi Gyorgy, I have a Weinschel 8310-136-F firmware V 2.70. What is your exact model from the list...the contents of the 24LC256 could be different from mine. There is an internal dip switch,

OT Weinschel/Aeroflex 8310 programmable attenuator
Hi All, I apologize for the off topic, but I am in trouble, and I don't find any sources of information. Maybe one of you will be able to help. By a stupid mistake I erased the EEPROM of my 8310

Re: 4195A restoration adventure*
A 7912 will do this for one of two reasons: It's not getting enough voltage going in, or it is but something is loading the output to the point where it drops like that. Measuring the input voltage

Re: HP 16500C looking for logic analyser boards that are functional
To prevent board damage, hot air reworking stations should always be used in conjunction with under board heaters. Under board heaters gently preheat the entire area of the board being worked on to

Re: HP 16500C looking for logic analyser boards that are functional
A solder sucking gun works good for through hole, but if your resistor packs are surface mount (like the ones on the 16752 boards are), get yourself a hot air tool if you don't already have one.

Re: 3456A DMM lucked out I think
I found a couple of plastic bottle caps that made good spacers between the board and the cover - good enough for now. They don't quite achieve interference fit, so might rattle around a bit, but
