Re: FT857D No TX only certain bands
Pop the covers off, check that the PCB mounting screws are still tight,

Re: FT857D No TX only certain bands
Try a relay clean procedure - turn off - hold up/down buttons - turn on. You may need to do this a few times. It puts a small current through the band pass filter relays to clean their contacts. If

I too have an LDG Tuner, Z-11, Pro II. Some notes:
[1] I do NOT leave it on full automatic because it will sometimes retune in the middle of a QSO!! Not fun. I have it set on Manual all the time

Re: CAT Screen Suggestions
Thank you all who responded with advice.
And that advice is to go with Chris Day's CAT from New Zealand.
Thanks again,

That's what the documentation says, but that's not what happens. Yes the tuner will key the radio but the power is not reduced. The only way I can get it to work is by manually going to menu 75 and

Rob,
If I remember correctly, you can set the radio to cut the power back but you have to manually key the radio if you¡¯re using an interface cable with the LDG tuner. I think you also have to set

I bought one of Chris Day's earlier CAT displays long ago. It has worked flawlessly for many, many years, every day.
Last year I got one of the Chinese ones at a local hamfest for my FT-897 because I

The first question is are you measuring this into a dummy load or into and antenna?? If memory serves me correctly, you will see a bit of power drop, into a dummy load on 12 and 10 meters, probably

Re: Uneven power on HF bands.
Is the rig hooked up to a tuner/antenna or a dummy load. Could be a mismatch using tuner/antenna combo.Rig will automatically roll back power to protect finals. A 1:1 swr does not mean a 50 ohm load
