Has your tuner ever operated with your ¡°homemade interface cable¡± as the manual says it should? ?I have the LDG interface cable and everything works as expected.?

I believe you also need to have menu item #85 TUNER/ATAS =OFF. All of the selections on this menu are for Yaesu ATAS antennas or AH-30 antenna tuner.?

See if you can borrow an LDG interface cable to test the FT-857 and AT-100ProII tuner. If they don¡¯t work then, I¡¯d check try to substitute a known working tuner.?
