Rob,
If I remember correctly, you can set the radio to cut the power back but you have to manually key the radio if you¡¯re using an interface cable with the LDG tuner. I think you also have to set the memory 085 to the TUNER setting. Check on page 14 of the LDG manual.
Unfortunately I don¡¯t have my LDG tuner connected to my FT ¨C 875 radio at the moment.

?Sorry if this has been "asked-and-answered" but I've been through all the previous topics and didn't find a conclusive result.
I have an LDG AT-100ProII connected to an 857D with a homemade interface cable.
I can only initiate a LONG TUNING cycle with the [TUNE] button on the tuner if I manually reduce the power (menu 75) to 5 watts. The "tx request" function works through the cable but the power is not reduced automatically. I if I don't lower the power it just keys the radio for a few milliseconds and the tuner displays the OVER POWER dance \/ \/ -? /\ /\?
Is this a known "defect" or am I missing something in the config.
I can get the tuner to work in automatic mode .... switch to AM and key up till it's done ... but would like to be able to get the [TUNE] button functionality
Thanks!
