Mine is 1200 on external signalink tnc on 857 & 1200 on kenwood D710 internal tnc. It would seem reasonable that 1200 is a very good starting point. Good luck. Stan Laughlin KG7LBP

You will need to go into Device Manager on your PC to determine what COM port you are connected to. If it is not clear while looking at it, disconnect the USB cable and see which one goes away. Plug

You have seemed to look in all the right areas. If you were sitting within 5 miles of the repeater, I¡¯d say you were over driving it at 50 watts. I guess you checked your transmitting tone frequency
