Mine is 1200 on external signalink tnc on 857 & 1200 on kenwood ?D710 internal ?tnc.?
It would seem reasonable that 1200 is a very good starting point.?

I think APRS works on either 1200 or 9600 baud. But it's been awhile since I played with APRS.

Subject: [FT-857] Baud Rate For APRS #APRS
I am running APRSIS32 on a Windows 11 PC with a TinyTrak4 TNC connected to my Yeasu FT857d radio.? The TT4 I know is properly configured - I used it years ago.? The software needs to know the port and gives me a choice of 3 or 4, and a baud rate.? Where do I find the baud rate to use?? And how do I know which port to use?? Thanks - I am setting up an iGate in a rural area with no other iGates within reasonable distances.? Thanks!
