Re: TX frequency is 1.2 kHz off #bfo #calibration #cw #v6
That behavior seems to be the situation on the OEM code in the V6, where the transmit signal is shifted in CW rather than the receive. Look for Reed's code as mentioned in one of the links. He fixes

Re: V6 Low volume on speaker
One comment, the noise with no antenna is extremely low, so I would not be surprised that you have to turn the volume up full to hear anything.? If the volume is low with even a marginal antenna

Re: Only noise when connected to the antenna #v6
The audio squel may be unintended leakage, or related to 11 Mhz oscillator way out of alignment. Maybe someone else could comment on touchscreen issues you cite. If you had a raduino that might be

Re: Only noise when connected to the antenna #v6
Jonathan Funny thing we learn more when we have issues. The crystals do not need to be precisely matched for this filter, except if 2 or more styles with very different characteristics were used.

Re: Receive current on V6 builds
It looks like the earlier version is the winner on receive current draw. The V3 idles in receive at about 210ma.? Nice to know what the v6 does. -- 73 Dave AD0B Raduino bracket and Ham_Made_Keys (

Re: CW paddles Work, straight key does Not
Richard There likely is a menu setting to designate key or paddle. Also at least in the v4, paddle use has extra resistors that must be removed or bypassed for straight key action. The ubitx

Re: V6 Low volume on speaker
Thanks, Dick. It seems to be a sweet radio. I plan to use for portable operations, so maybe headphones will be all I need. Good to know about the loud stations, though.

V6 Low volume on speaker
Hi, Just finished assembling the V6 full kit. ?Something must be wrong because when I attached a LifePo battery and applied power there was no smoke. ?The display worked, the encoder worked.

CW paddles Work, straight key does Not
Just finished boxing my Ubitx V5. The center paddles work fine, but the straight key pulling the 4.7k resistor to ground does not. Anyone seen this and have a solution for straight key nights?

Re: Only noise when connected to the antenna #v6
Something I am wondering about is how I can tell if the 11 MHz filter is working properly. It seems to attenuate the signal quite a bit and when I inject a 14 MHz sine wave into the antenna line, this

Good spot to insert audio preamp on V6 #v6
