Re: TX frequency is 1.2 kHz off #bfo #calibration #cw #v6

I apologize for confusing the message.? The BFO alignment does impact the CW offset, as much as the SSB clarity and offset.? What most have missed in the message is that there is a basic operational difference in the software as supplied by HF Signals.? Most expect the CW signal being sent to be the same as the dial frequency displayed.? For the version 6.1 and earlier that is not the case.? There the base software is taking the side tone and adding or subtracting it from the displayed frequency.? This is fixed in the 6.3.1 version on Farhan's github files.? That does take the Arduino IDE to compile and then download to the Nano on the Raduino.

So to get things as normally expected, you would need to download the most recent firmware, compile and then download to the Raduino Nano.? Then go through all of Farhan's calibration steps.

Please, if someone sees something in error in the above, please respond to the group so that we all have the correct information.? I must point out that I do not have a v6 ubitx, so cannot verify that the above is correct.? The information is from reading all of the messages on this reflector, and working with 3 ubitx of my own; 2 v4 and 1 v5.
