Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
Here's the datasheet for the Si5351: https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/data-sheets/Si5351-B.pdf? Looks like indeed it comes in a 10-lead surface mount version. ________________________________

"It's a Yaesu FT-891. With the regular sketch, I looked for it from 4.8-5.5 mhz. With yours, I looked for it about 200 below and 500 above 7.025 mhz Isn't the Si5351 just a chip? Can't I just replace

Here's the sketch again--- it should generate a signal on the Raduino at 4.925 MHz ________________________________ Sent: Monday, December 18, 2017 8:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BITX20]

Re: In Line Resistive Terminators for Z Measurement? ?BITX Crystal Filter
That's nice, Andy. But look at what happens to your noise floor in the third instance. The first instance shows a peaks and lows over a 5+ dB range, perhaps a bit too much for a good filter. The

I've already adjusted it to .10 amps Yes.....I turned them fully clockwise to turn them all the way down. I've since turned them counterclockwise to increase them and am now at .10 amps

Ok, I tried both farhan's sketch and Gordon's. Neither produced a signal.

I still have my K&R "borrowed" from my company's tech library decades ago. Return was made moot by the library closing. However, I did return the Knuth.? I also have several of Jack's books I bought.

remember that RV1 (PA BIAS) works backwards from what you might think.Fully clockwise should give a 0 amp reading and turning it counter clockwise will increase PA current

Sorry, I should have said that the current drawn by the Antenna Analyser is around 400 mA. Worth a look to see if we can't get that down for the uBITX VFO/TFT, asuming the use of the same size TFT.

I traced it down to a DC ground loop. When the uBitx is grounded, the power supply line current reading dropped. If I put an ammeter in the ground line I got a current reading equal to the power line

The TFT/VFO will depend somewhat on the size of the display you use. I can't find the current draw right now, but I thought it was 180mA for the 2.8" display. I'll keep looking. Jack, W8TEE To:
