Keeping GPX and POS Overlays after restarting
5
I'm not sure what may have changed over the past couple of years, but back then, when I configured GPX and POS overlays, after closing the program, they would reappear when opened again until I deleted the overlay. Now, I need to configure them each time I open the program. Is there a setting I'm missing that will keep these overlays showing until deleted? Thanks Bob KE6GYD

TM-D710G No RF?
12
I'm just getting a TM-D710G back running with APRSIS and don't see any RF connections listed in the View:RF menu. I'm line-of-sight to the UNCAN gateway in Southern NH and have had good RF before, so I must have an incorrect configuration. Squelch is up fully CW and I see (and hear) UNCAN hits on my radio. No direct hits are recorded on APRS.FI. An FTDI chip serial cable connects my PC and head unit. I see KDW710 OK and APRSIS OK alternating in the upper left window. What else to check? BRET

Unable to update to development version

Downloaded and installed the released version of APRSIS32 on a Win11 PC running Vara HF. Everything seems to be running fine, however I would like to upgrade to the latest development version. I made the edit to my xml file but do NOT see the upgrade notice when I access the About menu. I see the following error in the Trace(Version) logfile: WinMain:2024-03-19T16:15:11.624 winMain:Running APRSIS32(2020/05/01 21:21) from C:\APRSIS32\APRSIS32.exe WinMain:2024-03-19T16:15:18.403 Check4Version(<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.4.57 (Ubuntu) Server at aprsisce.dnsalias.net Port 80</address> </body></html> ) Isn't a Timestamp WinMain:2024-03-19T16:15:33.817 Check4Version(<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.4.57 (Ubuntu) Server at aprsisce.dnsalias.net Port 80</address> </body></html> ) Isn't a Timestamp WinMain:2024-03-19T16:20:41.295 Check4Updates:Starting Check4UpdateThread Check4UpdateThread:2024-03-19T16:20:41.536 Check4Version(<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.4.57 (Ubuntu) Server at aprsisce.dnsalias.net Port 80</address> </body></html> ) Isn't a Timestamp Check4UpdateThread:2024-03-19T16:20:41.536 Check4UpdateThread:Failed To Get NewVersion, Not remembering WinMain:2024-03-19T16:22:27.526 Check4Version(<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.4.57 (Ubuntu) Server at aprsisce.dnsalias.net Port 80</address> </body></html> ) Isn't a Timestamp WinMain:2024-03-19T16:22:51.707 Logging Enabled Thanks for any help

LoTW Upload Error - Already Uploaded QSO suppressed
2
When I attempt upload to LoTW, I get the following error: However, when I search for the above call sign, I see the call sign not on line 29 (Its on line 91). On edit of the record (#91) it shows REC Conf By as "L" and Sent Conf By: as "L". Is there a way to fix the error besides ignoring it every time?

VARA from APRSIS32 (was: Vara aprs 10m)
In APRSIS32, create a new port of type Simply(KISS) and point it via TCP/IP to your VARA HF instance's KISS port. Everything else in APRSIS32 should "just work". As others have pointed out, you do not need Direwolf because VARA HF is the equivalent sound-card-based TNC/modem. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32 PS. APRS with KAMXL
38
Hi guys, A friend is using a setup that uses a KAM XL hardware modem, and while it works for other things like packet and Winlink, he has not gotten it working with APRSIS. I¡¯m not terribly familiar with hardware modems Though I use them for packet. Sound handling is certainly different from soundcards - I know that much. Anyone using APRSIS with a hardware modem? The wild card in all of this is although the APRSIS screen shows nothing received, and won¡¯t transmit. the APRSIS log shows activity. - 73 - - Michael Coslo N3LI - Frequency Coordinator, Beaver Stadium President, Nittany Amateur Radio Club mjc5@... mjcn3li@... Can APRSISCE32 produce text files containing (at least) station callsign, latitude, longitude for each packet received ? I don't see anything like this in the listing for logged files under the enables tab. Russ KB0TVJ

Font / Background Colors?

All: Is there a way to change the chat window font and background colors? Also wondering how to get the Sounds working. I assume this option is used to alert the user when a new APRS station is received. I have sounds enabled, but not hearing anything. Tony -K2MO

Configure / Messages / RetrySet

I can't seem to find help related to the Configure / Messages / RetrySet menu item. It is mentioned in some other items I have become interested in (APRS w/ VARA HF). If you have some docs on the subject they will be greatly appreciated. 73 KO4NCC Jeff

Messaging Issues With VARA
6
All: I've noticed that APRSIS32 transmits twice (instead of once) when sending a message or replying to one. The 2nd transmission takes place immediately after the first and it only happens when using the Vara HF modem. Robust Packet (WinRPR) and UZ7HO don't seem to have this issue. Any ideas? Tony -K2MO

Wx station identifiers
9
Hi Lynn, I was looking at my weather station I transmit, and in the info box when clicked upon it give the detailed info. Ie temp, wind, rain etc. It also shows a unit field as well. I was guessing this was to define what weather station you are using, but after playing a bit with cumulus changing the comment to Davis Vantage Vue then over to Dvs as recommended in the 101 file, it still says Unit: UnknownP(Dvs). Any assistance you can provide? KB3KBR Greg. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
