Re: Aprs bluetooth
I have used a few different Bluetooth modules connected to the radio serial interface.
I've connected HC05 and HC08 as well as the much older Roving Network RN41 and RN42 boards. My Byonics MTT4B (before their Bluetooth module was offered) has an HC05 board in place of the MAX232 chip with the secondary (GPS) pins pass through.? This allows a TTL GPS module to connect on the 6-pin DIN. NOTE: This is serial data, NOT audio.? APRSIS32 does not accept audio to decode.? ? ? ? ? ? ? That would require Direwolf, AGWpe, or such software which may be able to take Bluetooth audio input. When creating a new RF port, the device popup offers <TCP/IP>, <Bluetooth>, or <Serial>. IF your Bluetooth connection has been paired and allows SSP (as Lynn stated), choose <Bluetooth> and you should see the device in the list. Another "catch" is that newer Bluetooth (my HC08 Bluetooth V4 BLE protocol) have some strange behavior.? Many times they create 2 separate COMM interfaces to the computer.? One is bi-direction (which you need) while the other is receive only.? This has caused some problems that take a bit of troubleshooting, but they still work. ------- Robert Giuliano KB8RCO |

Re: Digipeater KISS <> VARA APRS

开云体育APRSIS32 does not support cross-port transmissions.? If you get
really creative, you can accomplish this with 2 instances, but I
wouldn't call it a digipeater, but a cross-band packet repeater. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

开云体育Yes, APRSIS32 supports SPP Bluetooth connections to TNCs.?? You
have to pair the Bluetooth SPP device using Windows itself, but
after that it should show up in the Bluetooth device selection
drop-down. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

Note that not all of these are SPP
connections, so choose your selection wisely.

Re: Aprs bluetooth
What radio are you trying to connect to? Does your windows machine have BT? Does the Radio? I believe that Lynn had it working with a D710AG at one point with a bluetooth dongle but I haven't had a chance to attempt to re-create that capability yet. Improved Bulletin Support (Dev: 2024/06/19 16:05)
Lynn Deffenbaugh
开云体育There is a new Development release that delivers improvements in the creation and display of APRS Bulletins.?? These are in the Messages / Bulletins menu. Messages / Bulletins / View is now Messages / Bulletins / View / View All Or you can select a specific message group to see that subset of bulletins. When you create a new bulletin, the Group box is now enabled for selection or entry of a new group.?? Configured groups will show up below Messages / Bulletins / View in a similar fashion to how Configure / Objects has worked with object groups. This update was driven by my plan to use Bulletins, specifically
the ATGP group, to track the status of this year's

开云体育IIRC, just right click on a Frequency Monitor window and disable
it from the popup.?? Or just uncheck Enables / Frequency Monitor

I like to think of myself as an armchair psychologist dealing deeply in the realm of associations... If someone was pinned down and or mentally at least partially incapacitated. It could be assumed that manipulating a keyboard on any device would be difficult.? Upon pontificating of the pre- ponderance of evidence 505 is very similar in nature to SOS used by Morse code operations to signal a voice Mayday etc. I think it should be clear when sent what are the intentions of the operator such as in my call sign being very fond of CW K7OI.? ?_._? _ _ ... _ _ _? .. if I spelled that correctly.? From: BTEXT ;FFF.FFxyz*111111zDDMM.hhN/DDDMM.hhWrTnnn RXXm NETxxxxxx MTGxxxxx ......... BTEXT ;FFF.FFxyz*111111zDDMM.hhN/DDDMM.hhWrTnnn oXXX NETxxxxxx MTGxxxxx Rxxm ..... Where ;FFF.FFxyz is the frequency, and "xyz" are optional local unique characters ? ? or ? ? ;FFF.FF5yz for 5 KHz repeaters and "yz" is one of over 3600 unique characters A-z, 0-9 ? ? or ? ? Example "xyz"s might be -IA for Iowa, -A for Atlanta, *SD for SanDiego, etc Where *111111z is the pseudo default null Date-Time field for the OBJECT format Where DDMM.hhN/DDDMM.hhWr is the LAT/LONG and "r" symbol for a voice repeater Where Tnnn is the tone in Hz (without tenths) Where oXXX is +xxx or -xxx offset in 10's of KHz Where RXXm is the range in Miles (if standard offset is used) Where Netxxxxxx is the local weekly net time (if any) Where Mtgyyyyy is the monthly club meeting time (if any) Where ... are 9 more bytes of optional text that will not be displayed on most mobiles but are visible on other clients You can see that the OBJECT name is too long causing problems with decoding the packet. 开云体育Why would 505 represent an emergency? Looks more like a corrupted object packet that is trying to say ??5 degrees 05.39 minutes west for a repeater whose tone is 114.8 and operates under the callsign N7ELY, but I'd need more detail from the packet than that APRSdroid screen capture is showing. Re: APRSISCE using a digirig connected to a boafeng.

开云体育I believe the digirig is fundamentally just a soundcard interface to the radio.?? APRSIS32 doesn't do any audio processing directly, but expects to talk to TNC, be it hardware, software, or firmware.?? So you'll need something like Direwolf talking audio to the digirig and KISS (most likely) to APRSIS32 via TCP/IP (again, most likely). Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE
