Re: Frame
Make sure the camper is up before disconnecting the strut.? Mine are installed "backwards".? With 80 pound struts, it wanted to buckle.? I went with 60. I'd get the stress off it and then access

Re: Frame
Is this an Aliner factory defect?? I thought i saw posts about this happening to other trailers.? If so I'd think Aliner would help in the repair.? Call them up and see.

Never heard of such a thing. I ripped out all of the rotten or even discolored wood.

Re: Ugh bigger problems
Get a moisture meter with pins, and push that into the floor, and see what it says.? Test it on some pieces of dry plywood for comparison, and wet hunks of rotted wood if you still have any.

Re: Frame

Re: Ugh bigger problems
If you do a search on "eternabond failure" you'll see reports of it starting to fail after about 8 years.? But it could last longer too.? The manufacturer claims it can last 20 to 35 years.

Lol. I saw the wig product also, but figured it out. My camper is out and up all year in NY. A little worried about tape holding up. Not worried about dry application, at least not these last couple

No problem . I solved my issues years ago with Eternabond which really almost seems to live up to its name and be worth its premium cost. I just thought I would clarify to make it easier for those

Re: Ugh bigger problems
Hi Steve: We never really had any leaks from the failing hinge flashing. I just wanted to fix it before it became a problem. Since our campers "move" caulk can fail if it doesn't hold to the parts.
