Re: wiring
The inside plate on the motor has a wiring diagram for the motor and I rewired it and did nothing with the switch. This worked though the switch is an irritating momentary action switch so you have to

wiring
I picked up a Rong Fu 4x6 with swivel head. It's wired for 220V but I only have 110v in my work area. The switch is a magnetic coil type but is marked 230v. It's a plastic, 2 button, on/off switch.

Re: Coarse blades and motor burnout?
A coarse blade will slice through Al 1" or larger with no strain or pain. In fact, for really large pieces, it can cut down tremendously on the cutting time (the chips clear the teeth easier). On

Re: Coarse blades and motor burnout?
How course of a blade were you trying ot order? Your 10-14 bi-metal blade should sail through just about anything you can stuff in the 4x6, except thin wall tube. Sparky --- way2phastphil

Coarse blades and motor burnout?
I recently ordered 2 bimetal blades (10-14 pitch) for my HF bandsaw. When I called to check on the order, I decide to add a coarse blade for cutting some 3/4 inch plate for an upcoming project. When I

Re: HF 4x6
One thing I would suggest is to check the gear box for sand. This seems to be a problem with some of these saws. Left inside, the worm and gear will wear out prematurely. However, I checked mine and
