Yankee Rowing Boathousekeeping Reminder: Please Shut Off and Drain the Hose
Yankee Rowers,
A reminder: After using the boathouse hose to wash down boats, please remember to shut the water off via the spigot outside and to drain the hose so there isn't water in the hose. (Leaving the water on or not draining the hose when it's hot outside can result in the hose exploding from the increased pressure.) The water was left on all day/overnight several times the past week. Thanks very much. Best, Ernie |

I also ran some line around all the boats remaining on the outside rack to be sure they don't slide (get blown) off the horizontal rods that support them. I think there is *very little risk* of any damage to boats on the outdoor rack, but it was easy to take some defensive steps. Judging from weather and river forecasts, it looks as if you don't want to row tomorrow (wind, rain) or Monday (current). Ernie and I will restore everything to normal positions late Monday. Bob |

Reservations: Only two 'Live" or "Future" reservations in our system
zooey Schiff
YRC members: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Please remember that in our Reservation system you can have only two "live" reservations at a time. If , for example, you row today, after your row you can sign up for two more slots. This keeps one person from taking over any particular boat and time slot. I think with two live reservations everybody will be able to share the boats and few conflicts of time will occur. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Re: High/fast water danger
Hi Ernie,
I hope you are doing well, and having some great rowing!?
Would you please remove me from the YRC email list?
Thank you for all of your kindnesses along the way...and stay safe and healthy.
All good wishes,

The flow speed is the number along the righthand side of the graph.
The upper limit for club boats is a flow of 20 kcfs. At 4:30 a.m. today,
it was about 43 kcfs.
Please wait for the flow to come back down before rowing.
