Note the original poster has a G callsign (assigned to the United Kingdom) and a .uk email address. I don't think he's on our side of the pond. :-)
Anybody remember what the national APRS frequency

Re: next beta build#200 of YAAC, created 2024-Jun-08
I have 2 instances of YAAC running on different raspberry pi machines. The upgrade on a pi 4 running bookworm works using the " check for updates" selection from within YAAC. The upgrade on an older

Re: Testing a TNC 220
Greetings.
From your description, it sounds like you used Putty to put your TNC into KISS mode, then told YAAC you had a KISS-only TNC, so it wouldn't take the TNC out of KISS mode when you opened

Re: Download link
Greetings.
Did you visit my website at https://www.ka2ddo.org/ka2ddo/YAAC.html
On that web page, did you scroll down to the "Installing YAAC" section and click on the link for the zip file?

Testing a TNC 220
I am trying to get an old Paccom TNC 220 which I built from kit in the 1980's working as a KISS TNC.
I am running YAAC under Ubuntu 24.04 on a dedicated PC with on "old type" RS 232 port which

Re: APRS IS PASSCODE
If you are not connecting to the APRS-IS Internet backbone, you don't need a passcode to use YAAC. The passcode is solely to authenticate yourself to the backbone. As such, you enter the passcode on

APRS IS PASSCODE
Hi, where is the passcode supposed to be entered in YAAC for the server? I am not communicating with any server and am confused about what needs to be done to make that happen. Thanks in advance for

Re: Monitor Frequency
Can you be a little more specific? In what UI panel are you trying to enter a monitor frequency? In your beacon setting? For a repeater Object? In a filter? Or somewhere else?

Monitor Frequency
I can't put anything above 147.000 in the Monitor Frequency.
Trying to input 147.210 and it jumps from 147.000 to 430.000.
Thanks

Re: Offline Map Tiles
I will have to check the options again, thank you!
Now I am even more intrigued about how you are rendering the OSM data, that is awesome, and would be useful in my project as well. I could get rid

YAAC has a "dark mode" available in its configuration options, though it still needs a few tweaks. I also haven't gotten it to where the dark mode can be automatically switched on and off by the

Re: Offline Map Tiles
Thanks for the reply, I understand.
I think was just worried about having to download (or render) another 10's of GB of maps, but I kinda see what your doing now.
Plus, I run my own tile server and I

Re: Offline Map Tiles
At the present time, no, these pre-rendered tiles are not understood by YAAC. YAAC uses its own means of dynamically rendering a map that is incompatible with the public tile servers.
Sorry.

Offline Map Tiles
Hello all.
Thank you for creating YAAC, it seems to be one of the only APRS programs that will work with Yaesu's weird data output.
Thanks!
I have a question about map tiles.
I am running YAAC on a
