New version 0.19.0
#R1CBU-Firmware
Oleg,
First I want to thank you for your programming.? I really like what you've done and what you are doing. Thank you for addressing the audio feedback issue I posted earlier. I found another issue with v.19. This one is around the FT8 decoding.? when I first ran the new firmware it worked really well.? However I noticed a few things yesterday that I can't figure out. When tuning to 10m for ft8 yesterday, I pushed app button then FT8 and the receiver automatically jumped to 14.074 (20m).? It wouldn't decode the 20m FT8 anymore, nor could I move the frequency with the direct microphone input, either by pushing the band button or direct frequency entry.? The only way I could move the receiver off the 14.074 was to push the buttons on top of the radio to change bands, it jumped to several digital frequency places for all the other bands.? ?I also noticed in the upper right corner that usb and not usbd was shown and I couldn't change the modes through lsb, lsbd, usb, usbd. It was stuck on usb only.? All the timeslots didn't decode on any of the other bands that I ran through.?? Thank you again for all the work you do.? ?I appreciate it greatly. kd6aej |

Now the FT8/FT4 frequencies are recorded and you can only navigate through them using the band switching buttons. It is also prohibited to change the modulation mode. |
Update to decode issue:? Checking the time against the atomic clock and it was correct.? However, I went ahead and "set the time" and it cleared whatever the timing issue was.? I hooked up WSJT-X and Operated the default 20m FT8 and then when I changed the Freq on WSJT-x, the radio didn't follow.? I manually change the band using the buttons to 10m.? ?FT8 decode and R!CBU V.19 Tracked correctly with WSJT-x so there is no problem.??

开云体育I use the website? time.is, link ? I find now and again even though setting time by telling NTP to sync (it is windowz) if its within a minute it won’t update ? Solution set time more than 5 minutes out, leave it a minute then tell it to set automatically and it will bring it back into sync ? Peter M0PWX ? ? ? Update to decode issue:? 开云体育> Isn't anyone using the GPS function that Oleg > incorporated to set the time? I am. I'm using a cheap usb dongle from Amazon. It works great! Wayde Nie VA3NCA 73 |
I use the GPS dongle and it works well with the R1CBU version 0.19.0 to set time and location. The only problem, which is not a problem for me, is the presence of the USB device disables the screen keyboard. Version 0.19.0 sees the usb port is being used and acts as if an external keyboard is plugged in.

Hi Oleg, Thanks for the info I will try a smaller card,? Has your Transverter arrived yet? ? Thanks Dave? On Sat, 9 Dec 2023, 19:53 Oleg - R1CBU, <belousov.oleg@...> wrote: On Sat, Dec 9, 2023 at 10:36 PM, davebb123456 wrote: |

Yes, it has arrived. I only tested it for reception, I did not try it for transmission. I plan to do this one of these days. Now I'm stubbornly trying to overcome the problem of loss of sound playback. So far no success.

But it is already clear that FM is received disgustingly. I once tried to transmit on FM in the CB band, and it was also very bad. It seems that the manufacturer did not check this modulation at all. I can’t fix it, because it’s all in the closed BB firmware of the processor. |
Hi Oleg, Yes it is a shame that FM is not good, I did have a g90 and when they added FM to it, RX was ok, but FM tx audio was not great, With the 6100 tx audio is better than the Rx audio, Good luck Dave 2E0DMB On Sun, 10 Dec 2023, 09:13 Oleg - R1CBU, <belousov.oleg@...> wrote: On Sun, Dec 10, 2023 at 01:52 AM, davebb123456 wrote: |
Hi Oleg I think I know the answer,? Is it possible to do a EQ for the mic input, As the tx filter is 2.5 cutoff, I could see this in the SDR RSP Due, or do I have to do some filtering in the mic end, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB On Sun, 10 Dec 2023, 09:37 davebb123456 via , <davidbrowne76=[email protected]> wrote:

This is not possible now. I already wrote that all DSP processing occurs in the BB processor. The firmware of which is still closed. There have been works to decompile it, but it seems to me that it will never be completed. |
Hi Oleg Thanks again?for your help And great information, Thanks Dave? On Sun, 10 Dec 2023, 19:21 Oleg - R1CBU, <belousov.oleg@...> wrote: On Sun, Dec 10, 2023 at 08:52 PM, davebb123456 wrote: |
Hi Oleg, group.
Some updating to V0.19 I have been having a lot of difficulty in getting CW decodes working with any reliability. ini V 0.17 the decoder was an outright awesome improvement of the stock one, but I am really struggling to get the new one to play ball.? I often need to restart the radio to see any decodes after making any adjustments to CW settings (like the stock firmware used to just stop decoding for ages unless you restarted it)? The decodes are sporadic for me. Does anyone know what CW peak and CW noise BETA are? How to set them up? Thanks Scot |

Before the release, I checked the operation of the decoder. Does anyone know what CW peak and CW noise BETA are? How to set them upI guess I know (LOL).?These settings are set to optimal by default. I spent quite a lot of time on this. I should have removed them, but I left them for experimentation. Experiments have shown that it will not be possible to configure it even better. |
