Yay! Two transverter bands with selectable limits and offset!

I will have to play with all this new stuff - thank you Oleg to grant me that wish!

Next step: building a cable to control the transverter via PTT and ALC, using the ACC jack of the X6100.

Now off to the monthly meeting of our radio club (DOK Z46).

Again, thanks Oleg!

Thanks for the new version. I tried the basic functions and all work well. So far no problems. I will try the new functions later. Thank you again for your efforts. Please take care in these strange times.

One thing I've noticed is that when I turn off ALC display in SETTINGS it does not persist.? I have to manually turn it off every time I boot.? Is there a trick to saving the setting or is this a bug?

Also, I went to save some 60m frequencies but the band selector jumped from 40m to 80m.? Was 60m taken out?

Thanks!

Another thing, is it possible to disable the automatic mode changes when spinning the VFO??? CW in the US is generally from 7000-7120, but the firmware switches to SSB at 7040 and is kind of a PITA since you have to switch back every time you roll up past 7040.

If you watched my video, I have these options turned off. And I checked now - everything works as intended. Perhaps you are talking about returning parameters after updating the firmware? Then yes, they are reset to default values. In the future it will be possible to save settings and restore them.

If I had $1 every time I answered this question, I would already be a millionaire! (((((((((:
Band descriptions are in the settings file. A band editor is planned and everyone will be able to customize them as needed.

As I already wrote, the bands editor will solve this problem.

Thanks for all your work on this and your willingness to respond to all questions.
A band editor would be great.

Hi Oleg,

I cannot get the CW decoder to work correctly.

Have been listening to multiple CW stations but none of them decode anything useful.

I assume that the TX encoder speed works independent of the decoder speed?

Are there any settings I can try?

Best,
Reinier, PA3AAA

Yes,?the decoder automatically adjusts to the speed.

Try adjusting the filter width and tuning into the station more accurately. So that you can hear well. It will work poorly if several stations fall into the filter band - it will select the maximum level and this may throw it off.

Oleg thanks for a job well done. Love the new features.

May I ask just the opposite about the CW speed setting. I would suggest a possibility to set the CW receive speed to stay on a fixed setting besides the automatic feature as it is now. This way I can monitor beacons and slow NDB cw speeds as it does not decode as the X6100 is continuous searching between the dots and dashes at slow speeds like 9 WPM for example.

Is the Bluetooth function fully working or is a Xiegu Firmware problem?

I don't support the idea of making the decoder worse than it is (LOL). It's not just a matter of adjusting the speed, it also adapts to the ratio of dots and dashes (if you are working with a vertical key). I tested only at maximum speed (works up to 50 wpm), there should be no problems with minimum speed, there are no restrictions for this.

It depends what you mean. Overall BlueTooth works. I connected a wireless keyboard and there are no problems with it. Sound is a little more difficult. Some things work, some don't. I need to deal with this. The main task is to make a GUI for pairing BT devices.

Hello Oleg,

This is an absolutely a nice surprise. I have wrote the firmware to th an SD and successfully booted the radio. It is obviously to me a new radio, so I will need to read your documentation and learn how it works. It seems I am traversing memories, I have pressed the general menu key, I have pressed a button and heard RF Gain. I also heard a button announce RF Power, this seemed to speak it twice. But I really have no idea what I am doing, so just randomly pressing buttons. From what I can hear it is very promising. I really want to thank you for this. I will see what I can read and actually use the radio properly. Cycling though LSB and CW variations was really nice too. For a very small unit the latency is very limited. It is more snappy than I expected.

On behalf of the blind community I just wanted to say thank you, so much.

I'm glad this is useful to someone. I really hope for your comments and suggestions.?
You can read the documentation that Greg?KD1XI?kindly wrote -
It's a little outdated, but the general principles are still the same.

Oleg, I see this as an extra feature besides the automatic speed function. The way it works now is that with slow morse speed the software is always seeking for dots and dashes in the time between the send characters.

Another possible solution is the function to 'lock' the receive speed and later unlock it if you want. It is a bit fiddly, but it can help in a way.

?

Strange that you see this as a 'bad' idea?

Yes, Bluetooth audio is what I'm looking for.

Could it be possible to activate the YouTube text translation option to English. I see you explaining many things, but the Russian text is not helping, LOL.

I can't promise anything yet, but I'll think about what can be done.

This is quite strange, because I turn on auto-translation subtitles and everything works for me.

Would be nice to lock the receive speed. I see what you can offer us in the future.

Must be an Android- YouTube thing. I will check another OS to see what is happening with the auto-translation.

Thanks for taking an interest.

My translator works in Youtube, have to turn on translate, then turn on Close Caption/subtiltles

Hi Oleg,?

I have been using r19 for a couple of days, my first experience with your firmware.? Really awesome work, thank you for your efforts.?

I feel like I am missing an obvious function, but is there a "Restore Default" function in your firmware like there is in the standard GUI Settings menus?? To reset to default TX Power, Mic gain, etc. and the little "chasing arrows" circle found in the lower left of the standard GUI?

Thanks,?
