There is a windows program called WinSCP ( https://winscp.net/ ) that you can use to transfer the file to the X6100 as long as you have the X6100 on your network, such as with a USB Ethernet or WiFi

Ok. I don't have a linux system to read the sd.? Is there a windows app that can see the linux partitions and if there is do I copy the .tgz compressed file or on pack it and transfer the files

Worked well using Linux Mint. Windows wants to format the card since one of the partitions is unreadable. A good reason to keep a Linux machine around, even if you normally use Windows.

There are two most common FAT partitions on the SD card. It's a surprise to me that Windows can't handle this!

When installing the patch, the params.db settings file is reinstalled. This is necessary to add 6m band for FT8/FT4

The SD card has 3 partitions: Boot, DATA, rootfs. Y ou need the partition where the params.db file is already located
