Re: Heat sinks do work.
Randy this is what I use from my 12vdc go box to the radio. It puts out 9vdc and the x6100 can do 10 watts with no problem. The 9vdc reduces heat with the radio and the aluminum fins on the

Re: Heat sinks do work.
You can't reduce input POWER, but you can reduce input VOLTAGE to 10V. Don't use a resistor - the current draw is not constant, so you won't get a consistent voltage drop, plus you're just putting the

Re: Heat sinks do work.
What¡¯s an easy way to reduce input power to 10 watts? (All my DC sources are 12-14 watts.) Is it as simple as putting an inline + resistor to drop down the voltage?

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0 - WSPR ?
I would definitely use WSPR on this radio if it was available, but I also appreciate the work that has gone in already - it really is so much better than the stock firmware!
Many thanks

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0
Well, I guess it might be implemented) I'm not sure about the next release,
though. I'm less than a year old ham operator and I never used RTTY. I need
some time to dive into it.

X6100 mod: removable batteryICOM 705/ X6200 style
Hi
I would like to mod my X6100 in such a way that it accepts a HT-battery pack (Quansheng k5 3800 mAh, USB-C chargeable, for instance) at the back. Same thing as the X6200 or ICOM 705 already

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0
Dear Gregory I am having a great experience now with v0.27. The final piece that I would love is to have RTTY tx capability as I used that a lot for contests using saved messages. Is there any plan to

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0
Thanks you. If I understand you correctly, app already have this setting. It's called "Freq magnification" or something like this. Just try to disable it.

Georgy, I LOVE the new simple theme... much clearer for me, actually more beautiful. I have a request, though: Would there be a way for you to make the magnification of the frequency optional when

Re: BRAND NEW TO ALL OF THIS- can someone give me directions to set up and make ft8 decode?
Using FT8 APP in the R1CBU firmware, adi log file is in DATA partition on SD-card in the X6100.
When radio is powered off, put card in external reader and copy.

I have not bothered to try -- there are no LINE IN/OUT jacks on the X6100 to hook up to the SCS modem.? If full bluetooth audio support for the X6100 ever came to pass, I suppose one could try

Re: BRAND NEW TO ALL OF THIS- can someone give me directions to set up and make ft8 decode?
Open file in Wsjt-x and open the log directory and open the log file. You can upload the log directly to QRZ.
