I've configured fldigi 3.10 to report what ir seeon the PSK browser to PSK Reporter. I've clicked on the initialize button and then had numerous callsigns come across the PSK Browser window, yet the PSK Reporter site never sees anything logged by me. A friend who is running fldigi 3.10 on Linux does not have this problem. Did I do something wrong or is there something I can check? Thanks in adavance for any help. 73, Rich AB1HD

I have ver 3.10 working great except for one thing...when I query QRZ.com with a callsign in the proper box I see a response that says the query was sent to QRZ.com but then it comes back with user/password required. I have entered those in the proper config location and I do have a paid subscription which is tic'd. I can log in just fine to the site directly. I'm using Win2000 Pro with an old slow 200Mhz computer. I'm old and slow but I still work though. What am I missing? Rick W3BI

A couple of months ago I downloaded the 3.3 version into Vista, tried out all the various items, as it is not my shack computer, I removed all the the 3.3 into the recycling bin and deleted most of it before downloading version 3.10. when this became available. After downloading 3.10 and opening it up I found that the operator details and other entries which were on 3.3 are now in the new version.How can that have happened ? I have also downloaded Airlink Express, this is included in the "All programs" list in Vista with an un-install. Fldigi is not on this list, and neither is there an uninstall, is there a reason why would it not be in the " All Programs " list ? What do I need to do, to totally, entirely, uninstall fldigi, and download it again, and have a pure,clean version ? I have 3.3 version working with XP in the shack, is this a Vista thing ? Hello Rich, Thanks for your quick reply. I'll do as you suggest and see what happens. Having a think about the problem, I have two zipped versions in the midi (?) download file on Vista and I wondered if that might be causing trouble,zipped files shouldn't really, but I'll get rid of one. I am using the latest version and it works fine on psk31 and rtty, but it will not copy even the strongest cw signals. All I can get is a string of T's. also does the cw copy scroll down the screen? Mine only copies one line. Just curious about these two. Thanks Mike K9HCK

Thanks to help from Rich he solved yesterdays litle problem, now I have another This morning I decided to make some macro's and test them out, and it seems that my copy of fldigi isn't functioning as the previous 3.3 one I'm using in the shack. The practice test macro isn't sending text to both windows, text is only going to the lower window, and its being sent in one lump, and even though there is a <RX> at the end of the text, the T/R button isn't switching off. I also tried to change the colour of the text from black to a number of colours and it isn't changing colour. I've read through all the help sheets, entered all that should be entered in the various tabs but cannot find an answer. More help appreciated, or do I do another download ? Kind regards, Mel G0GQK

Hello Dave, Made a successful download on XP and all is OK. The operating page looks super, the log is excellent and I'm just reading and working my way round. Let me tell you about something strange ! I have a dual operating system, Vista and XP. I cleaned out everything from Vista, checked XP and the only thing there was the previous 3.3 help sheet. Everything on Vista went into the recycling bin but I decided this time to download into XP on dial-up because I prefer XP All done successfully, checked the macro's, checked the text colour and size, checked the log, all OK. Excellent. I'll go and enter the operator details and what do I find, my details are already entered ! I honestly just don't understand computers ! Let me tell you something else stange, and Skip may be interested. I had a similar thing with Digipan three years ago. The reason, I'll never know but whenever I open Digipan the PSK tracks on 31 were wide, but if I gave a squirt of RF the tracks became normal. I removed all Digipan, downloaded new copies three times and still the new downloads did the same thing, and its still like this today, I just can't stop it. Hello Dave, Well I knew something was amiss, nothing much I could do about it, most times I rely on pot luck in getting things running properly ! Nevertheless,I'm retired, the bands are rubbish so I'm looking and trying. In 2000 I knew nothing about computers, still don't know much now ! I bought my computer running Windows 98, and the first time I switched it on to try it, I couldn't switch it off again. It took me a few hours to realise I had to use the Start button to switch it off ! Logical really, I suppose ! Same thing with Vista, had my grandaughter aged 10 to tell me how to switch the damned thing off. No handbooks you see. Despite all the brains at Microsoft even the simplest things they do are complicated. Mercedes make cars like that, you need to read a thick book for days and a memory like Einstein to open a door ! I am new to fldigi and I am having a problem setting up my radio. I have an IC-706MKIIG and a RigBlaster Plug & Play interface. These work with HRD. My computer is a Dell Dimension 2400 running Windows XP. I have installed fldigi 3.10 hoping to try flarq. I have tried RigCAT and Hamlib (not at the same time). Hamlib will change the "Rig Not Specified" above the frequency display to Hamlib IC-706MKIIG and the correct frequecy is displayed. The problem is that the radio goes into transmit mode and stays there. With RigCAT the frequency and radio do not display, but the radio again goes into transmit mode. I hope someone can help :) KB1MEE

I just installed fldigi 3.10 for Windows on my hamshack PC (Windows XP SP3) and I'm not seeing anything in fldigi's waterfall window. The waterfall display is just blank. The audio / soundcard tab shows two options, Soundblaster Live! Wave Device or Microsoft Sound Mapper. I have PortAudio and SB Live selected. Can anyone tell me what I need to do next? I also have MixW and DigiPan installed and they both work perfectly so I know it's not a simple cabling issue. Thanks. Dave K?EKL

Hi All, I am having trouble getting win-fldigi to control my Ten Tec Argonaut V. If I use hamlib I get a crazy frequency reading in fldigi that jumps back and forth between 163280.653 and 447103.815. If I use rig cat the reading goes to 3580 and stays there no matter what I do at the radio. I have the proper baud rate and serial port, the same I use with HRD which works. Any ideas? Rich

Have icom 746PRO went to site - how do you copy the xml file, It does not give me an option to copy anything but the target to the rigs file. What am I doing wrong. When I open config, I can click on Open and it shows the 746Pro.xml file in window but nothing seem to activate when I hit Initialize button. Freq window does not change to freq on rig and rig not specifies remains. thanks Bob...

Greetings, I was trying to set up FLDigi for use with a Yaesu FT-847, and to do PTT via CAT using Hamlib. However, it does not work. The radio is simply not responding (issuing PTT) when I transmit. The CAT works otherwise because I can read and set frequencies with FLDigi. Also, Ham Radio Deluxe and DM780 work fine doing PTT via CAT control. I notice that the Hamlib listing for the FT-847 says "Alpha" so maybe it is buggy. Has anyone gotten Hamlib CAT PTT to work with the FT-847? Thanks & 73, -Joe-

I just recently installed fldigi 3.1. When I transmit the selected frequency shifts down by 600khz. I can't figure out why. My radio doesn't shift when I key my mike. If I turn off my radio's 600khz and transmit on fldigi fldigi still shifts by 600khz. I am using FT-857.xml. Is there a bug with fldigi running on a FT-897. Help please! Thanks Jerry, N8NZF

New computer (Dell), new cable (RT Systems RT01 & 03), Icom 7000, COM3 and Windows XP SP3. Rig works fine with HRD & RT Systems Programmer but hangs with fldigi; reports error above. Any advice?

Where do I find Log management directions. I've stumbled through saving the adif file and sending to eQSL.cc and Lotw. Is there a description of this progess in the Help file or on line. The log seems to be a mystery at least to me. Searches revealed nada. During the PSK 31 flavors, I checked the log in the view file and coulldn't find the last 12 Q's. Is there a standard way to set up the log in Fldigi for contest running digital modes. The contest tab appears to favor CW contests. I've purchased the QRZ disc and have installed the software on my HD and have a Icon on my desktop. I've tried several ways to bring up QRZ during a QSO with no luck. Any help? I do not have CAT control for my IC 746. I've tried everything that has been suggested from this group. I'm running XP sp 2 using Signalink USB box. Any new ideas? I'm a low power station and look forward to more digital contest using fldigi. Now to the S04R to make 324 Low power. Thanks Ray ND6S
