Rearrange macros
#macos
Is there a simple way to change macro positions on the GUI? Drag and drop would be nice, but I am not sure if that would work. I don't like the macro layout that is the default it doesn't flow quite right. I have copied and pasted a few in the macro editor but that takes a lot of time. |
Moving Fldigi from C:\ to D:\
Is there an easy way to move my Fldigi install from my C:\ Drive to another Drive like D:\ without having to re-install the software?? Are there any Configuration settings I can change to do this?? I could not find any setting under the Config Dialog Menu.? I would like to install as much as possible to another Drive designation because my C:\ drive is getting full.? I want to move both C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86) and C:\Users\*\fl* files. |

Re: XMIT Color Change Not Persistent 4.2.06
Just FYI, I tried changing the color in v4.2.06.19 and it worked just as expected Save instead of just closing the dialog might be a clue, but it even seemed to work correctly both ways, I think. I tried changing the color to a different one, like blue, to better see the effect on the tiny button. 73s Tobias .-.-. Am Sonntag, 26. Re: Alert sound files
Hello Ryan, Please take a look at the attachment and try activating what you need. This works as described in the dialogs. First step is to test a selected sound using the test button. Then either use or change the respective sound. There also is a 'wav' option if you wish or need to use another sound not present on your PC. Good luck! 73s Tobias .-.-. Am Sonntag, 26. 4.2.06: Transmit color changes not persistent
Use Case. 1.? Select Configure -> ConfigDialog > Colors-Fonts > Rx-Tx. 2.? Left click on XMIT color button.? Move the slider down to a darker red.? Click OK. 3.? XMIT button does not change color.? Red default continues as transmit color. 4.2.04 works as expected.? ?Upon sliding down to darker red XMIT button and text take on new color. This is my first post and I hope this is the right place for bug reports.?? Please point me to right place on sourceforge if not. Thank you in advance. KM2B |

Philip, David, Agreed, apologies, I had tried it using my built-in (SAMSUNG) cellphone browser, which seems to be unnecessarily 'picky'. Using Firefox, it worked right away and said 'secured'. My fault... ;-) Thank you! 73s Tobias .-.-. Am Samstag, 25. Re: fldigi CW decoding problems
I use PCW Fistcheck all the time to keep in practice twixt on air sessions. I find that it does really well at decoding what my rigs send. I use a straight key 90% of the time, which is why I like the PCWF feedback on my timing. The timing dialog is great for that. I agree that getting CW off the air is another matter, with signal shifts, fading, etc, but I have used PCFW with a local ham on HF, and it was pretty good. In fact, PCWF showed what fldigi could not...

One of the new CW hams was using a keyer, and thinking that he was sending great code. His dits and dahs were great, actually...as you'd expect from a keyer. Problem was that he couldn't send a letter or a word that was generally understandable by ear, so PCWF had no chance. But I copied what PCWF recorded, and sent that to him. He got the message right away, and decided to shift from keyer to straight key until he had a better sense of timing. I think using fldigi is overkill for these simple tasks, but I understand wanting to use it if the goal is to actually send and receive CW using fldigi. I occasionally use Morse Expert. It is great at showing just how much the RX CW signal shifts around, and why it is so difficult to machine decode hand sent CW. 73 Rich NE1EE The Dusty Key On the banks of the Piscataqua On 2025-01-25 10:54:, Bob McGraw - K4TAX wrote:

Re: fldigi CW decoding problems
RE: No decode on hand sent CW from the K4. Is the monitor audio getting to the computer? I just checked my K3S feeding my computer as normal and FLDIGI does decode my keyer sent CW. It also decodes my hand sent CW with my straight key. Check your monitor level audio going to the computer and application.

Hi Dave,
I had a quick look. The link to fldigi opens a directory with just the help text file in it. The one to flrig has all the files.
